- Today I'm unboxing and testing out this super quiet air compressor for your home or shop. I use mine for filling pressure pots for resin casting, but this video should relate to most people wanting a quiet air compressor for the home or garage. This air compressor has wheels so it's easily moveable, and the 8 gallon tank is big enough to perform the tasks that I need it to do. This air compressor is ultra quiet, you can have a conversation with it running with no problem. This oil less air compressor is easy to get going and I show you how to do it.

Very impressed with the sound level. I looked at California Air Tools compressors when I was replacing my old Craftsman that threw a rod several years ago. My primary criteria was air flow because I use this to run a plasma cutter. I went with an oil lubricated Rolair due to availability and sound level vs other oil less compressors but would have been happy to have the CA compressor if the lead time had been shorter.

As soon as I kill my current compressor, if not sooner, I'll be getting one of these. I've heard one in person and WOW. Deafening silence, compared to what I have now.

Sure is a difference in the sound between the new one and the one you have for the whole shop. Of course the size is quite different too. Really like the new one.

Wow quite is right.never heard one that quite.i use one 5gal. N one harbor freight tank off of a battery tank in the corner out of the way when my big tank went down.i worked so good I continued using it after I put in a big two stage.i like to fill em up alittle in the slower side n I have it set to shut off at 60 for the big tank in case I get doing something else n I watch the harbor freight n never go past 40.

I just got the 1 gallon CA compressor last week and I was shocked how quiet it was.
As soon as I turned this one on.. I was like… is this it.. lol I was impressed

It’s an oil less motor.. sounds almost like a vacuum pump.

Would a 1 gallon air compressor be able to fill a 2.5 gallon pot to 60 psi? Any idea roughly how long that would take if it is possible?
I think it would take too long to fill it up.. the resin that I use has a fast working time and the pot needs to fill up fast..
