As someone who has been immensely blessed by this duo, i wish God can borrow them extra goggles to see into the spirit. They will realize that their problem is not each other. The truth is that there's nothing like gospel music is for Christ, it's not for Christ.
The major purpose is for money, Christ is secondary to them or not even there at all. So they can fight themselves as much as they want until the one that stole her money returns it.
My advise to churches, appreciate your own choir. It has never and will never make sense to me why a church is willing to pay a performing artist millions for a 30mins show but will not pay their everyday, loyal choir members. The leadership created and have fueled this greed and created an industry of paid musicians within the church. The gospel, in any form, whether preached or sung, or dramatized, should never be for a fee. People can be appreciated according to what the local body can truly afford and not based on a perceived artificial worth. James 2 said to not show partiality in treatment between the rich and poor (in this case, popular vs unpopular) but that is exactly what we do and we call it Ministry. Jesus, please clean up your body for we have strayed.
I think why they invite other ministers is for more crowd....... Once people know that a popular gospel artist is coming they will come in numbers but if it's just the church choir.. The attendees will not be many 😂😂
God bless you! As a music director, this is one piece of how we appreciate music ministers that I'll never understand. It takes more to be creative weekly than to have a few hits you can sing weekly everywhere you go.

We all need to look within and examine if we are truly conforming to the image of Christ in our thought, desires, actions, and words. Why gratify the flesh? The pastors, seek crowd and exposure, not for the sake of the gospel even though they might claim that the more people come the more people will hear, but the truth is, crowd means fame and money. The next year they plan for bigger crowd, none of these is Christ driven. When you lure people to come because of what you know their flesh will be gratified by (the popular artist), that is trickery and God is too holy to be associated with that and He doesn't need to trick/lure anyone to come to Him. People repent without being preached to because the Holy Spirit can convict people of sin. Christ lured no one, people came to hear Him teach and to be healed by Him and not to be entertained. Too much entertainment in the name of keeping the young people engaged has led to many drifts from true gospel. No one can be more creative than God and no generation and their new taste takes God by surprise, He is Omniscient and He set a standard of worship thousands of years ago that MUST apply till the end of time. This appetite fir entertainment needs to be reversed else we continue to see embarrassing public reproach to the Kingdom and body of Christ.
Paying a "gospel" singer to come and "minister" in a church is pure entertainment.

If gospel music is about the gospel, people like Patty Obasi, Panam Percy Paul, Voice of the Cross and their likes should earn more because their songs drew us closer to the gospel, made us think of repentance, made us weary of sin and hell, THAT IS GOSPEL. Gospel is the work of salvation that Christ did on the cross to earn us eternal life with God. Today’s artist are about trendy slangs, rhyming words, borrowed dance steps, extravagant costumes, backdrop, and production. When you break down the lyrics, it is shallow and self gratifying. They spend a lot of money to make money that is not gospel that is business. 5 loaves 2 fishes was all Christ invested and got many saved and many healed.
Hymns don’t get the credit it deserves and it costs nothing to play yet deep and enriching for the soul. The crave for variety should be examined by each individual. Ask yourself, where is that craving coming from. Shut off secular music and you’ll begin to appreciate simplicity.

Exactly what I said when I listened to her, it pissed me off as if she was looking for help in her fight. We should learn to keep some issues off from the public.
Well I can’t judge but my Church had an unpalatable experience last two years with one of our major Gospel Singer. So We got his Assistant Contact. We wanted to make enquires on inviting the minister , but guess what? His secretary Abi I should say Assistant told us to pay a huge sum just to do the booking we were shocked at the amount. My people it was huge and in dollars. Trust me My Church later got to know that The Minister Never knew about how the secretary has been collecting money from people in other to invite Him. And I can tell you it is harmful for his ministry THIS IS WHY I CANT SAY MERCY CHINWO IS LIEING.

Does anyone remember the days when, if you have an RCCG, LFC, C&S etc near your house, you'll be looking fwd to their praise and worship and be dancing inside your kitchen? Or the early days of TH-cam when you search up praise session for a church's midnight service or thanksgiving service because their choir is on fire, the praise medley were popular simple choruses that draw you in and keep you in?
We need to investigate where the tide turned. The invitation of foreign artists gave rise to a call to invite local artist, now, artists are climbing over each other to grace stages else you never blow, creating resentments amongst themselves and a sense of low self worth for those who have never been invited. The small singer may just be more mature and gifted than that blown-up artist but because we walk by sight and not by Truth, we sometimes pay for mediocrity and tickles over an in-filling or a refreshing.
Perilous times reveal lovers of themselves not God. My money, my talent,my industry, my studio, my album, my collab, my stardom, my investment, my contract.... So many mys, little God's.

They may just have been showing the world that beautiful friendship, but may have been going through a lot in the label. I am not taking sides but I think there are some missing points, and the 2017 contract would do justice to it all.

Mercy Chinwo seems to be avoiding the main issues raised by Eezee Tee, choosing instead to attack his character rather than directly addressing his claims. From what we can see, Eezee Tee is presenting facts, while Mercy remains silent on key points. She accuses him of playing the victim, yet her actions suggest she is the one doing so. It would be best if both of them addressed the issues properly, including Eezee Tee responding to the claim about presenting the original 2017 contract and Mercy responding to all the earlier claims by Eezee tee as well which she avoided.

I have seen people praying that God will avenge one or another, The funny thing is that if both are true Christians by God's standard of salvation, but are just erring children who aren't mature and still on their way to conforming to the image of Christ, God, their father will not avenge any of them rather he will chastise them (this open shame might be their chastisement), they will repent in secret and God forgets about it because that is what Christ's death bought for us. That Mercy's post where she wrote "label" is no argument.
If she signed a Managerial contract, it does not change the fact that that she signed into the record label An artiste can have a personal managerial contract within a record label. In that case, the artiste may say "Management" or "label" at any point. The word "label" suits the sentence. People use label in a generic term when speaking on music management companies.
She could not have said: "I signed into the Management EezeeTee..."
Abeg, the key is the 2017 contract. That's where the terms of the contract is not her use of the word "label". In the video, she said "Management".
So whatever choice of words was ever used is irrelevant. Oga EezeeTee should bring the 2017 contract. That's the basis.
As long as EezeeTee has not done that, he is making noise.
And as long as Mercy Chinwo can't bring the 2017 contract as well, Mercy can't get a favorable judgement on this

@@neulite24 The story is he gave her a signed contract in 2022, five years after she signed in 2017. And when she read the contract she noticed the content was different from what she had read and signed in 2017.
It is very possible she did not collect a copy of the contract after signing in 2017. The label started with her. She was their first artiste. She was not a stranger that met him just before the whole label matter. They had a great relationship and she looked up to him as a mentor.
She could have read the contract in the office and signed it there. If she had ever been given a copy of the contract before November 2022, when her contract had expired, EezeeTee would definitely have included that bit in his narrative. He would have vehemently debunked her claims of getting the contract in 2022, five years after she signed.
She even said he admitted to the existence of 2 contracts at Efcc. Oga has not debunked her claims. Also Dr. Stephen Akintayo on his Facebook page clearly said à few days ago that in the most récent effort at réconciliation, he told EezeeTee that one of the conditions for médiation and résolution is that it will be based on the 2017 contract which Mercy talked about. And HE HAS NOW AGREED TO IT. The post is still on Dr. Stephen's Facebook page.
All the times he spoke before Mercy started speaking, he said nothing about the contract discrepancies. And now that Mercy is insisting on her claims, he has not debunked it. He explained his side concerning the other things she said in her video but said nothing concrete about Mercy's claim. The man that came out speaking authoritatively before Mercy spoke does not sound like somebody who would just let such an allegation slide if he were not guilty.
I have personally had situations where I have taken bad décisions just because I fully believed, trusted and esteemed highly the person who told me about it and I was way past 20 years old then.
These things happen. Especially when one is young and naïve. The trust we have for pple we hold in high esteem can stop us from acting as we normally should.
GUC and Judikay's relationship with EezeeTee's were initiated strictly on music label/ artiste basis.

Days are gone when the street preacher was the most respected person in our neighborhood because he does morning cry daily, and seeks opportunities to convince you of the gospel. You can go knock on his or her door when you have issues and know that they will give you audience. Today, those brethren are no longer respected now all praise and glory be to the pastor who stand on the pulpit screaming and yet barely accessible. Even the person gifted by the Holy Spirit to Usher isn’t respected. My street preacher led me to Christ, taught me how to evangelize, took me along to demonstrate it and will remain relevant to me but they get no 50/50 contract.

If Joseph didn't have his dream, Potiphar wife might have been difficult to resist. Get rich or blow quick is also another factor. And some of these producers won't touch you if you lawyer up. Sad but true. But now is the time for Churches and Gospel artists to fill the void. So that we have more gospel studios and artists. Elvis Presley story comes to mind. A raw talent that was taken advantage of. But if not money, this would not be in the media space. Mercy, forget the catalogue and Ezzy forget the album. Hello, I am Minister Deen, a gospel music minister. Honestly, everything happening right now doesn’t make sense to me. Someone who claims to be a gospel singer or to promote the gospel should not be fighting against others. The love of money is the root of all evil, and trying to bring someone down is not a godly spirit.
I am against both parties involved in this situation, but I feel more disappointed with Minister Mercy. As a prominent figure, she should set a good example for upcoming music ministers. I had hoped she would choose to let go of the conflict-not just for her own sake, but for the body of Christ and the gospel music industry as a whole. Retaliation does not come from God. We should forgive and move forward.
Does she not remember the scripture that says, "Your gift will make room for you"? She is newly established in her ministry, and regardless of whatever influence Mr. EezeeTee has over her, I believe that if she can just let go of all this and stop trying to prove a point, God will restore what she has lost many times over.
Let us promote peace and love instead of trying to bring others down, thinking we have support. Moreover, Minister Mercy should remember that God used EezeeTee to help her reach where she is today.
Finally, let’s pray for the church to return to our first love, which is Christ! Blessings to all the upcoming music ministers out there. If you know you can do everything necessary to get your music heard and achieve success without needing a record deal, please Do, I wish you all the best. If an artist sings about bank alert and being an odogwu, others will do the same. Songs today are about how rich, blessed and connected they are, and most sings the same. Take each lyric and find where it refers to gospel scripture and you barely find them. They appetite to gyrate in the church is driving the genre and lyrics of artists and not the gospel. People want to club for Jesus and not worship in Spirit and Truth, that is how we got the gospel music industry.

The issue with the catalog is that if the contract between them was only manegarial, it means she dudnt sign him up as her record label where he can claim she signed it off to her. Except there was such a clause in the 2017 contract which Eezee Concepts has to provide.
The contract is the foundation of their relationship.

2. She demanded for an audit. EezeeTee backed out of the audit and then she proceeded to report to the EFCC
3. They reconciled at the EFCC and he payed back the money. They settled and then he went ahead to sue.
4. EFCC proceeded to charge him to court.
Why are these details hard to comprehend? From the lawyers statement you can see that Mercy’s account was also audited because she tendered receipts of payment.
