    Thanks for giving me ideas for how to use envelopes. I started to watch your videos on modules that I already got from other brands because they are so clear and easy to follow, but I don't feel like leaching because I bought Pam's and S.B.G. On that note I think anyone with a small system should get those. Pam's is self evident really but S.B.G because you can get good and really cheap delay, reverb and distortion pedals, at least secondhand, something most synths need imo. That loop function is nifty though, and that last patch was rather impressive.
    Shit, after watching this I realize that Pam needs a twin in my system.

    Got one yesterday. Love it already! Just finished experimenting using volts out to Cellz sequence left in, EOS to Cellz right in. Worked great!

    You just made the best modulation source in 4 HP even better. Wow!

    I'm late to the party here, but I'm curious if modulating Decay/Attack will wait for the end of the envelope to apply the change, effectively sampling the cv input at the start of the phase? I've used other envelopes with modulating Decay time and I'd always prefer it to lock in the shape if the cv source is random or less predictable. Thanks!

      The change is immediate when modulating attack and decay. Using something with synced random like the Pam to modulate it would produce the same locked in result.

    I recently bought a used pipslope mk II and…
    Edit to simplify wordy original: was experiencing a weird thing where the gate stays closed after 12 oclock on either attack/decay.

      Sorry to hear! I would advise you email help @ busycircuits

      @@busycircuits turned out it was just the old college reboot needed to fix it. Cycled the case and it started working as expected.

    Does the trigger input reset the envelope, or does it only trigger in a decay state or after a full cycle?

    • @busycircuits
      @busycircuits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It resets.

      @@busycircuits AWESOME! Too many envelope generators don't for some reason.

    Amazing module ! Just one question, is it possible to use the trigger and gate input at same time ?

    • @busycircuits
      @busycircuits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. I think Trigger input will take precedence though.

    Relatively new to all this... In the example of using a keyboard gate, is the Mum M8 integral? I have attempted to replicate your example but I'm not 100% sure how to do that? Does it need a VCA or something? Thanks in advance.

    • @busycircuits
      @busycircuits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, we are using the built in VCA of the MUM M8 but it could be any VCA. Patching Pip Slope's envelope to a VCA CV input will control the level of any signal patched through the VCA. In this example MCO generates audio that runs into the VCA of the MUM M8, the Pip envelope is patched to the VCA level CV input and changes the volume of the MCO. VCAs are essential in a system for controlling the levels of sound generators so they are not simply droning endlessly.

      Output range is 0-5v switchable to 0-8v with a jumper at the rear of the module.

      @@busycircuits Awesome! I'll be getting one for my Palette case then. 5v was not enough depending on the receiving module. Thank you for adding the jumper.
