Friends, today I'm doing the IMPOSSIBLE, I'm breaking down the Garten Of BanBan LORE. Since this game's release, it's been polarizing, to say the least, but the Euphoric Brothers are starting to pick up some steam with the past few chapters of this game. The sad part is, we'd all actually love it for the same reason the car scene became famous. It actually gets better the stupider it gets. Actually, I think they'd do better with no lore. I think a mindless horror with comedic bits existing just to exist would be amazing!

BanBan lore definitely has a ton of overused horror tropes, but I actually really liked the games. The rough-around-the-edges monsters that look like children's drawings brought to life and the colorful but barren rooms are something I really enjoyed.
Tbh I kinda like the environment even if we've seen it a million times atp
I think the reason why it’s different is because it’s DOESN’T try to be serious or well-polished like other games (FNaF and PP mainly)
The “lower effort” graphics and animations compared to other games are actually quite refreshing imo

He’s probably expecting to maintain some sort of psychic powers after the transformation, which means that he’ll be caught completely off guard and will probably just be killed if he actually succeeds.

Baban's one of the few horror games that actually gave me nightmares/wary dreams just from the way the bird stares at you and approaches you in chapter one. The way it moved was so stiff but it just comes straight toward you right when there's nowhere to go cuz you're trapped in a corner.
Honestly yeah. Bendy, fnaf, hello neighbor, poppy playtime all didn’t scare me outside of the obvious jumpscares, but the way that frickin bird moves around… the way it looks at you… it actually scared me (and I feel so embarrassed cuz it’s frickin garten of banban that managed to freak me out 😂)

I think that with FNAF, it is intentionally confusing. Scott knew what was going on and was playing 4d chess while we are trying our best to keep up. Banban, though? We're playing chess while Banban is playing Uno. Our minds are more strategic, but how can we beat someone who isn't playing the same game as us? I think the analogy got away from me, but you get the idea.
@@cdesigner9178 I agree how Fnaf was based to be confusing/reflect on an actual story for a horror game but maybe banban is intentionally supposed to be easy, like unlike poppy playtime, bendy etc they have something to figure out but banban? An unusual game where it gives you everything, you can find out what happened in like 3 seconds, and stuff. But that’s also what makes it different from other games, sure the “children, Experiment gone wrong, mascots come to life” is the exact same but that is different, aswell as the self awareness of the characters that they KNOW they’re doing something bad (Hence the big guy saying Sorry in Spanish and Banban knowing he could become a monster when in contact with the player) idk garten of Banban is so straightforward but mysterious

I love how the entire game lore is just focused on the paper text here and there, but the gameplay itself is.... Somthing else
There is also lore in the video tapes as well as the trailers.
If it wasn't for Uthman to explain almost everything to Banban, none of the main events wouldn't happen. GoBB lore really is something when you dive deep into it.

Why would Stinger becoming a jellyfish not be in line with his intentions? The life of a jellyfish is exactly the kind of life he describes as ideal.

The cloy or whatever gets rid of everything except one and mat pat assumed that it would be the jellyfish genome. Stinger Flynn wants to just be a mindless jellyfish.
Yeah, it seems like everyone agrees that the supposed outcome would be exactly what Stinger wants. He'll become a jellyfish and then he expects whichever adult is left alive to bring him and the children to the surface. The only other option would be him being left with his Givanium genome but Matthew didn't propose that outcome.

I mean, it's obvious why he didn't propose it. As far as we know, the Givanium "genome" isn't really a genome of animal species. Remember, Givanium is only an ALTERNATIVE for lifeblood. Humans and jellyfish are pre-existing creatures that have determined behaviors and traits, like BanBan's intelligence (from his human genome) or Opila's territorial hostility (from her ostrich DNA).
But the Givanium genome doesn't belong to any pre-existing species that has its own traits. So it makes no sense for one of the monsters to be left with the Givanium side because the Givanium doesn't give any behavioral traits of its own. This is backed up by the fact that all of the monsters show traits of the species genome that is most prominent in them, but none of them seem to identify with the Givanium as their preferred genome. Stinger literally can't be left with just his Givanium side because the Givanium only gives life - it doesn't give any behaviors like jellyfish's mindlessness, bird's territorialness or human's ingenuity.

Dear Mr. MatPat, I've been watching your content since 2011 or 2012 when I was in middle school. So it's been so heartwarming for me to see the channel I grew up with come this far. I just wanted to say congratulations on everything you've accomplished so far and to many more to come in the future. With that said, I wanted to give a suggestion for another theory. Banban's existence is just so baffling to me I can't even hate it, just be Fascinated by it. it's like the accumlation of mascot horror culture over the past nearly 10 years.
Its such a mess of a game. Its like the devs broke down mascot horror to what fundamentally makes it mascot horror, then threw all those concepts together and released it as a game. Theres no regard for realism and no effort to make anything make sense. Its just all the “bingo card” mascot horror tropes loosely strung together into a game.
It's literally everything wrong with modern horror games. Caters towards kids just to sell garbage instead of actually making a scary and engaging experience

That’s what happens when they don’t show BanBan at all in chapter 1 and end it on a cliffhanger with JJ. Even Poppy Playtime had Poppy show up at the end of their first chapter.

They didn't go blindly to places, henry created the fnaf 6 pizzaria with a clear plan of reuniting everyone, he even planned Mike's escape out of the location, and mike may have gone to places blindly at first (although unlikely), but he proved intelligent and developed a strategy quickly and efficiently provided he survived fnaf 1 2 and 3 first try
The worst part is that the only appearance of this character in garten of banban is him saying that he's sorry, he doesn't even have a plan

but this garten of banban characters if ı remember correct is main cause of the problems creator of the monsters just like william but he understand the mistakes but everything was to late to be fixed or create a plan so only thing he/she can do is apologize. that is what makes it special.

Would like to say that at the beginning of the video he was going over cash grab list of all the other noteworthy Mascot horrors from the past.
I wasn't mad about that. Forgetting Hello Neighbor (because the quality of that can be debated on), the other games had a little something called effort with devs behind the games that knew what they were doing and continued to update the game with better graphics and mechanics as they learned with either each new installment or chapter.
Banban does none of this. The devs have not learned anything from their previous games and they have made no effort to actually make the game look appealing, make the puzzles actually engaging, and have a story that is coherent. Even the new chapter now is a fever dream that I don't even know what is going on, nor do I care.
Truly, it is beautiful when a story's 'bad guy' apologises. Only when they mean it of course. They understand their mistakes and the quilt wavers them down until there is nothing left but a sulken, apology of just two words. "I'm sorry". Even so, it could mean so much. Have so much feeling. It could be so genuine.

@Fluffystuff 500 I think Zolpheus' situation makes it the most emotional. Not only are they stuck in their own experiment with no way out; they can't move, can't turn, can't do anything. All they can do is watch and understand. They see what Flynn is doing, they see the mother desperately running around, they see the place falling apart. But they can't do anything

It has two of the three I mentioned. They can't stop what they started and they've lost everything they once had.
I feel bad for the creatures in that kindergarten. They never had a real childhood, just raised in isolation with the only adult figures neglecting them and treating them like monsters. Especially if jumbo josh is a reincarnation of a little kid, which makes this even worse. Imagine all adult figures around you being really distant and aggressive, living in a empty basement. I can see why he’s so aggressive. He’s just a little kid who doesn’t know better or understand why he’s there. Also, Flynn talks very calmly to josh when he tries to break up the fight at the end of chapter 3. He’s probably trying to comfort to poor guy since he’s the only one who’s smart enough to recognize why josh is so aggressive

I agree that they're most like not related, although given the franchise, I could see a convoluted mess where Claire as a sister hates/dislikes her brother and the little boy is just trying to make his sister like him (in a familial way) again

When it started out as a parody game, but then the creators actually got invested, and now it strikes a nice balance of serious and silly. It's cringe, it's janky, it feels like someone just triying their hardest to make some sort of storyline, and I love it. It fully embraces the awkward feeling, and just unapologetically exists. Honestly? I find it really inspiring and uplifting. It's itself, no matter what.
I’m personally convinced that Garten of Banban is supposed to seem like a joke game but it’s actually got lore and the way it seems like a joke game only makes the actual horror scarier

Pretty sure that human and jellyfish are more similar to each other than what ever givanium is. I think he’s gonna turn into a being in eternal agony and we’ll have to escape the facility as his pained thrashing destroys everything, or escape him chasing us begging us to do something to help
I don't think that he will be in pain because the givanium genome itself doesn't give you any internal organs. This means no brain, that part of the body that allows you to perceive pain.

@@jeanduresau Where the games heading their seems to be hints and callbacks to WW2 gas chambers with the gas mask we see in the teaser for Poppy chp 3 and not to mention the sounds of kids screaming in agony. If you ask me that's pretty interesting and unique for a indie game
