  • Hey physic-fans!
    I took a look into STORM. What a great simulation tool!
    Rocksolid simulations - and i know how to bring them into Blender!
    The only downside: Blender is limited in importing high-resolution-stuff.
    But for the lower-mid-resolution things this one will help you!
    If you like the music visit audiio.com/pricing?oid=1&affi... to start for free now and use discount code "EARLYADOPTER " to get %20 off out of the new annual music/SFX plan called Audiio Pro!
    Enjoy the show!

    Hello, you can use blender octane to render the particles as sphere, there is no limitation on how many particles you can render, I tried with 20mil particles and a UHD frame was rendered in 20seconds. The only limitation here is you only have sphere as the replacement object.

      @@Blenderphysics-Videos thank you for the tutorial for this product. I purchased this product about 4 months ago and it’s kind of disappointing that the maker of this product hasn’t made many meaningful tutorials breaking this product down.
      It’s a great product and has so much potential but without any meaningful turorials on how to make the most out it they are missing out on a huge customer base.
      I’ve since purchased Houdini, mainly because there is so much more information out on that product. I hope in the future they will spend more time marketing this product on TH-cam.
      At any rate, thanks for your contributions to showing purchasers like me how to really use it.

    I saw Storm while ago in action. It can produce a high quality physics, something similar to Houdini but it's rather like the only simulation tool. Does this support USD in anyway, e.g. exporting the mesh in USD instead of just the alembic?

    • @Blenderphysics-Videos
      @Blenderphysics-Videos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don´t know. Didn´t find any information about this. They have a demoversion on their page ;)

      Storm has PBD physics (granular) SPH (fluids), and sparse smoke solver. Has build in VDB toolkit. You can export/import Alembics, OBJ, PRT, BIN, VDB.

    using geo nodes to instance objects on those points then there may be much less lag as its not actual geometry?

      @@Blenderphysics-Videos I second this, if there was a way to export as a Json file it'd work amazing with Niagra particles since Houdini can export Vellum grain as Json, any chance you could check and see if Unreal Engine will take the grains as an Alembic if imported into Unreal Engine?
