I use mine mostly for interfacing with Meshtastic networking and Ham radio gear -- all stuff you would use outside, which is perfect for this because e-ink looks so good in sunlight and because the Palma 2 is water-resistant.
Excellent video, I loved it and I've seen everything. A question in my case I want to read in English and have it translated into Spanish , is it possible with it without internet?
Please make a small video of it. We people want to see how is its web browsing speed. Can we download any pdf which is available for free on the websites and can we copy paste it. Please show me by running chat gpt on this device whether it runs at the right speed or not. Please sir. Comparing both boox palma and palma 2
Can you say something about the battery life with Wifi on? Is it Like a normal phone, just one day or does it last longer if I just read and Type some messages over the day with Apps Like WhatsApp?
you won't be able to use it that way; you *will* kill the battery because it doesn't manage power on WiFi the way any Android phone would manage power on its cellular connection. like yes, you *can* use WiFi to make calls with apps like Zoom or Google Voice, but if you need to depend on something *as a phone*, this won't work.
@ ok thats sad. But if I put the wifi Off and just turn it on to Download a Book or so for a Short time it will last longer than a Smartphone Right? I just have to Control the wifi manually so its Not online the whole time? I want to use it to read a bit more and don’t be so much on my phone, but also want to Check my Message sometimes (idk every 2-3h). But also I don’t want to charge it every Night 😅
@@CWTime , I agree. However, if you are going to check your email and want to message quickly, you may feel like the phone is slow. That is how I felt with the BigMe Hibreak Phone. Yes, you can extend the battery by turning off Wi-Fi.

You just inspired me to make a video about this :)
@@EInkUnplugged lemme know if you have any questions!
I want the Palma 2 now! 😮
Get Palma1 same device for less money😄
@@radioexport7288 I agree 💯 I don’t think it’s worth upgrading.

@@lumarieguzman , as long as you download it on your Boox device, you should be able to do so. If you are using kindle you still can read their too.
@@lumarieguzman It's possible to read it as long as you downloaded it. You can also read it offline through kindle
Nice!!!

Not this upcoming video but the next I will share some features. Thank you for the comment. :)
I have a Palma (not the 2) and I can watch TH-cam on it. It’s quick. I would think chat gpt would work fine.
@ I will test and report back
"can we copy paste" what? you can open and read any PDF, yes. and you can select text from them, copy and paste elsewhere, if that's what you mean.
NICE!!
Can the function button be mapped to turn and and off the flashlight?
I've just checked, and I couldnt find anywhere to do that. :(
