Apocalyptica feat Ville Valo and Lauri Ylönen - Bittersweet. That song you need to listen and react. Ville Valo was the lead singer of HIM and Lauri Ylönen sings in The Rasmus
I'd recommend checking out song called "100" by Hevisaurus. It's a Finnish heavy metal band for kids. The song "100" is the 100th song they have published and has a lot of Finnish musicians making guest appearances. Just be sure to click the CC button on TH-cam interface to get subtitles because the song is in Finnish (to make it easier to understand for kids).
That Nightwish song.. I will not be able to hear it right ever again after the Fishmaster misheard lyrics version xD, it will allways be "A hamster, A Dentist, Hard Porn.. Steven Seagull "
@@fredverkerk838 The singer who nearly always sing in operatic style was Tarja, not Floor. Listen to songs like "Romanticide" (Wacken 2013) or "Yours is an empty hope" (Wembley 2015), no opera at all. In the second song Floor even growls.
Once a long time ago I went to an Apocalyptica concert, and the music was magnificent. The thing that really impressed me was how lightning fast (in the middle of a song) they could replace a snapped cello string and tune the new one while the rest were filling in for the person busy maintaining his instrument. In that concert that happened perhaps a half a dozen of times, IDK if it was something wrong somewhere or just the ordinary matter of course.
Finntroll is an abbreviation of the word for finnish people (Finns, finnish or in swedish "finnar/finländare") and troll. Combined meaning Trolls from Finland or Finnish trolls is/was a band from Finland singing in swedish which was thought to be more of a grunty/trollish sounding language than finnish. Finntroll relied heavily on folklore and the made up troll-king of Rivfader, gathering trolls to fight of the spread of christianity in the northern lands. Even though lyrics are often about d*ath and g¤re songs are often presented with great humour and some songs shift more towards mystique, magic and a love for nature which makes their music heavy but at the same time easy to listen to. Finntroll, aswell as for example Korpiklaani (The clan of the raven) often use accordions among othe instruments giving lot´s of songs a kind of finnish "oompah" vibe which is generally concidered cheerful.
If you're going to listen metal music, you're bound to hear sounds come out of metal singers you don't hear come out of Céline Dion. That should be taken as an enriching thing. Whoever put that medley together clearly enjoys metal being played fast-which is fine-but the examples don't showcase the bands overall music particularly well and creates a rather generic picture of metal music. The bands on the medley are actually much more diverse than that. Also, Finnish metal is known for its melodic and melancholic sound, which didn't come through that medley. Here are my recommendations from those bands for someone, who doesn't listen metal that much. Also, there is a folk metal genre, so if you like folk music, folk metal is probably a good starting point for the list. I'll add couple of other essential Finnish folk and other metal bands on the list you might enjoy: Amorphis - My Kantele (Acoustic Reprise) Ensiferum - Lai Lai Hei Korpiklaani - Henkselipoika Turisas - Stand Up And Fight Wintersun - Time (TIME I Live Rehearsals At Sonic Pump Studios) Finntroll - Trollhammaren Moonsorrow - Kylän päässä Stratovarius - Black Diamond Nightwish - Wish I Had An Angel Sonata Arctica - Tallulah Kalmah - Take Me Away Apocalyptica - 'Bittersweet' feat. There was no growling in the AMORPHIS clip. Growling ìs an essential part of the band. The vocalist Tomi Joutsen sings d both clean vocals and growling in every song I think. Amorphis - DEATH of a KING, official video. This song is melodic and I like it. The BEE, more growling in this song.
Amorphis is one of the bands where *every* album has totally different style. If you like growling, you pick one album. If you like something more melodic with clean vocals, choose another album.

Korpiklaani and their song Leväluhta it's one of my favourites!!! 🖤 Check it out. (they sing it in finnish, I don't know if there are any translations available for the lyrics)

Trolls in Finnish mythology are way different from ones in other Nordic ones.... Originally in similar part as dwarfs in but after Christianity more like cave welling semihumans, pretty similar like English would describe poor or people of coloured...

Guys, I was definately pleased with this. List was exceptionally good (to most cases) Ofc, there was only 10 so it cant have it all. I would had changed one folk metal out and replace it wih Marianas Rest (doom metal) or Kaunis Kuolematon. Anyway, really good reaction video.
