Apocalyptica feat Ville Valo and Lauri Ylönen - Bittersweet. That song you need to listen and react. Ville Valo was the lead singer of HIM and Lauri Ylönen sings in The Rasmus
I'd recommend checking out song called "100" by Hevisaurus. It's a Finnish heavy metal band for kids. The song "100" is the 100th song they have published and has a lot of Finnish musicians making guest appearances. Just be sure to click the CC button on TH-cam interface to get subtitles because the song is in Finnish (to make it easier to understand for kids).

@@fredverkerk838 The singer who nearly always sing in operatic style was Tarja, not Floor. Listen to songs like "Romanticide" (Wacken 2013) or "Yours is an empty hope" (Wembley 2015), no opera at all. In the second song Floor even growls.

Once a long time ago I went to an Apocalyptica concert, and the music was magnificent. The thing that really impressed me was how lightning fast (in the middle of a song) they could replace a snapped cello string and tune the new one while the rest were filling in for the person busy maintaining his instrument. In that concert that happened perhaps a half a dozen of times, IDK if it was something wrong somewhere or just the ordinary matter of course.
If you're going to listen metal music, you're bound to hear sounds come out of metal singers you don't hear come out of Céline Dion. That should be taken as an enriching thing. Whoever put that medley together clearly enjoys metal being played fast-which is fine-but the examples don't showcase the bands overall music particularly well and creates a rather generic picture of metal music. The bands on the medley are actually much more diverse than that. Also, Finnish metal is known for its melodic and melancholic sound, which didn't come through that medley. Here are my recommendations from those bands for someone, who doesn't listen metal that much. Also, there is a folk metal genre, so if you like folk music, folk metal is probably a good starting point for the list. I'll add couple of other essential Finnish folk and other metal bands on the list you might enjoy:

Scaninavian folklore trolls aren´t big, they're small and kinda cute. Finnish lore is probably quite similar.
There was no growling in the AMORPHIS clip. Growling ìs an essential part of the band. The vocalist Tomi Joutsen sings d both clean vocals and growling in every song I think. Amorphis - DEATH of a KING, official video. This song is melodic and I like it. The BEE, more growling in this song.
Amorphis is one of the bands where *every* album has totally different style. If you like growling, you pick one album. If you like something more melodic with clean vocals, choose another album.

@@markonurmi5479 In the old days there was lots of changes but since 2004 there has been only one change of bassist and nothing more. 8 album releases during the same 20 year period.
Check out songs such as "Amongst Stars", "The Bee", and "Silver Bride" to get some idea how much their style changes between albums or even within a single album.

Guys, I was definately pleased with this. List was exceptionally good (to most cases) Ofc, there was only 10 so it cant have it all. I would had changed one folk metal out and replace it wih Marianas Rest (doom metal) or Kaunis Kuolematon. Anyway, really good reaction video. Props for picking Nightwish with Tarja Turunen, tho I really like Floor Jansen, but original angel is an original angel
