The 92 variants have always been my favorite looking guns....they're just beautiful guns. These two are exceptional 👏. I'd been saving up for a LTT gun for a long time, then discovered Chambers Custom... now I'm saving up to pick up one of their guns.
I am picking up my LTT Elite (non-RDO) tomorrow. It’s exactly as you have except I opted for the Spartan sights. P.S. Owning three firearms like that……..what a country!
Absolutely love my LTT. Probably my favorite pistol. Unfortunately no optics cut. I bought mine at the height of Covid madness and these were hard enough to find. They may not have even been offering optics cut at the time. I think they had just started offering to send your slide in to get it done. I may buy the optics cut slide just to have. I had an opportunity to get the 92x performance for a pretty decent price a while back and passed it up. I kick myself for that.
Awesome review, I’m probably going to get the compact version non-RDO for range toy/carry option and then once my kids are little older grab a full size with RDO for starting out in comp! Also your video is the first I’ve seen and I’ve watched a lot on the LTT where I can see the blue finish some owners mentioned on LTT’s website, looks great.
Being you have experience with both the standard and match hammers. Do you think it's worth the extra $60 for the match hammer? I'm going to be ordering a ltt elite and was debating whether or not to have them install the match hammer.
I think it depends on what you’re looking for. If you are going to use it for competition I find it really helps. If this is a carry/duty gun it isn’t as important. You do notice a substantial difference however.
@@Steadfast_Collective it's going to be a mostly range and occasional carry gun for now. I do plan on getting into idpa soon, so it maybe used for that.
@@AWZ1287 I’d say since you are already putting some money into it best to get the best parts you can. They will send you both so you can put the stock back if you don’t like it
I did not know Langdon tactical sold a complete RDO pistol w/o all the np3 coating. Did you just buy the upper separately? I hope my question was not confusing.
My son and I have a CZ TSO, M&P performance center 5” ported and a Sig AXG Pro. We like to add to our collection or range/competition pistols, of all your Beretta’s you have which would you recommend? Thanks
If I could only have one I would probably recommend the Langdon LTT RDO. since it works for carry and competition. The 92x performance line is nice but its primary use is mainly competition.
@@Steadfast_Collective thank you Mike, this helps a lot. I like the np3 but I think it's a little too much silver/grey to the gun. In my opinion, but still looks really cool. I opted for the standard LTT without the np3. Appreciate the response
Great comparison video! Are you doing a Video on your Beretta X Performance? Curious as how it compares to the CZ Shadow 2 for USPSA Carry Optics. Thank you.
Bro! What do you do that you can drop 3k on two guns without a thought about it? I'm not saying I couldn't but honestly I'd certainly be questioning whether I should.
I am certainly blessed to be able to afford it. Even if it still hurts lol. I will usually sell any prizes from matches to put back into expenses for guns/training/ammo etc. I will always recommend paying for training from champion shooters over cool gear tho
@@Steadfast_Collective what kind of prizes does one get from matches that can allow someone to do that? Like Olympic medals? They supposedly are made of the metals they represent.
@@joelando1559 lol well I have won a few guns that I have sold and put back into shooting seasons. However, you are never going to make good money unless you are top in the world.
@@Steadfast_Collective I figured as much. I'd love to do it but my mobility at the moment is far from top notch and that just won't do. I do appreciate you answering my questions. The frame is an odd color compared to the slide on those LTT’s. That’s the only thing holding me back from getting one. Kind of petty but it just would bother me too much.
Nice unboxing there, interesting to learn what the LTTs offered. Having a 92F and quite satisfied with it after a trigger job with regards to accuracy and trigger feel 3lb, and very smooth I could not see what to do to improve except sights. Kind of fancied the 92X Defensive with similar looks, but it should have been in aluminum and not steel as its much heavyer. Aluminum was an advantage so why did they drop that? Also will there be an improved 92FS with alu frame and all the bits and pieces but without the rail? :) Maybe just put the new parts in the old gun and take it from there? Bar-Sto?
@@Steadfast_Collective Lost me a bit there, Mike, so maybe you can explain: The custom Defensive(CDP) class in IDPA is for cal..45 limited for 8 shots and the Beretta 92X Defensive supposedly for that class is still 9mm 15 shots. Also its not mentioned that in that class the weapon must be made of steel. So what consideration was it that the "Defensive" came to market? Also in the standard class for service weapon 92F/M9 is allowed unaltered but with 10 shots. However all service weapons as I know were standard 15 shots everywhere. Just a strange IDPA special rule?
@@gabork.8715 They made it for the Carry Optics, ESP, and SSP divisions. The reason for steel was so it is heavier and could help reduce "felt" recoil which is popular in for competition guns and this is what they used for their standard 92x performance. They did remove some material from the defensive model in order to keep it below the 45 oz weight limit. If you look at the website on the defensive model it explains this at the bottom of the page. www.beretta.com/en-us/beretta-92x-performance-defensive/
Try finding the Police officers 92FS . 1" shorter barrel and a little lighter. Also has the traditional grip frame. RDO on a Beretta is not my thing! Ask Paul Harrell. National champ with a standard M-9
have you ever shot the centurion? wonder what your thoughts are on that. been waitiing for langdon to restock the centurion version since last spring. very tempted to just buy the full size. anyways great info! subbed.
I have shot the Centurion and I have not noticed much of a difference. However I prefer full size guns. They are more versatile ( can be used for competition ) and it is not a big deal for me to conceal
It’s not the Langdon can’t do it, it’s that he would have to obtain new cutting machine and it gets kinda expensive now you have to weigh the good and the bad in going in that direction
Hey Mike, I’m planning on purchasing the 92 with NP3 and RDO. For the RDO, can I remove the plate and use the iron sights? Then after time, can I swap back to the RDO? It looks like the iron sights are on the rdo plate and the sights are missing. Sorry for the question, I’m new to this! Also, have you continued shooting your 92 Elite? Any issues or cons you’ve had so far?
The rear sight is attached to the optic plate. So you can remove the optic and keep the plate on and run the higher sights. But there is not an option to put the stock rear sight on the gun I have not had any issues at all!
@@Steadfast_Collective I heard that it’s better to purchase the gun without the RDO Slide because I could purchase it later down the road and keep swapping the slides for iron sights and RDO. Is this correct? There hasn’t been much info on the internet because as much as I’d love to purchase an RMR for it, I want to swap between the normal factory sights and the re-engineered RDO slide.
@@elixir927 yes I personally think this is a better idea. Buy the standard and you can always buy the RDO slide later if Ernest is still selling that option or they are in stock. I simply just bought two guns which I wouldn’t recommend for most people. It’s not necessary
