Thanks so much for sharing this. I'm new to dehydrating, but have wanted to take the plunge for a few months now and since I picked up 30 limes at the farmer's market this morning, I think I'm gonna jump in, lol. There was great detailed info that answered my questions and I'll go look for your seasoning videos now. Thanks again!
I am glad you found it helpful!!
First time viewer snd am subscribing. You explained EVERYTHING so well! Thank you!!!
Thanks for subbing!
Hi. This was very informative.
Question: if your jar does have moisture after a few days, what do you do? Do you put them back in the dehydrator for a few hours?
Question: what do you use to get such a fine powder when grinding your lime ends.
Thank you.
I liked and subscribed. 🦋
Genius!!! I love the this! Excellent for flavored water. Love the idea if seasoning blends! I wonder if you could sprinkle them it on Tortilla chips. Qdoba has lime flavored Tortilla chips. I bet your lime and cilantro mix would be awesome on some. Mmmm mmmmm
Yes you can! I like sprinkle it on tortilla chips as soon as I take them out of the fryer. Then they are almost like the chips I get from Chipotle restaurant.
i use for part of a chicken rub for the grill
@@MrNawfsideVet I love lime on chicken... little garlic, little cumin, little lime.... yummy
This vid was useful for me, I like to use powdered citrus in my baking instead of juice to add flavoring without additional moisture, and I wanted to know how to make it in bulk myself instead of buying crystals. Thank you for sharing!
I am glad you found it useful!! I love having the dehydrated and powdered citrus available for seasoning and cooking.
Boleh kah beri saya alat pengering itu, saya sangat membutuhkanya untuk berbisnis.
😊
Hello I have a question does this powder dissolve in liquid?
Congrats on kicking the sodas! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thanks for the great video.
Thank you!! 😊
What is the brand of your dehydrator please thank you
How celcius and how long to dehydrated lime?
Does it end up bitter ?
Hey i know im super late to the party but lime pith is like suuuuper bitter, does the dehydration eliminate that?
Why not make the slices into powder?
Can you vacuum seal them for conditioning?
Hi. Can you please tell me how you make limeade with the powdered keylime?
I powder it with erythritol super fine... I usually run and sift it at least 3 times, sometimes 4, until it is powder, then I add to cold water to taste. Everyone's taste is different so I am hesitant to give you a measurement. For me it is about half a teaspoon to a glass of cold water. I also let it sit for at least half an hour before adding ice and drinking.
@@FyreflyesFollies Thank you.
What about the taste when you powered them with peels
Please explain how the lime powder was made!!
I put them (whole dehydrated slices) in a spice grinder (coffee grinder) and sifted them through a fine mesh sieve, then re-ground any bits until it was all powdered.
What do you mean condition them
I love to find new seasoning recipes... 😘
Me too!! I will be posting those videos over the winter months.... that is when I usually mix up new batches of my seasoning mixes.

Thanks so much for this video! I've been trying to find a way to preserve limes firm my lime tree. Looks easy enough to do. I'm going to try your method soon. I love the lime water I idea, too! ❤
So helpful, thank you! What dehydrator do you have?
I am so glad you found this helpful! I had an Excalibur but after 10 years it finally called it quits on me, so I am currently shopping for a new one.
Great video. I am going to make these but with lemons. Thanks for the information you rock
Is the dry lime you prepared good for preserving eggs as well?
Hi!! I can't wait to do this! I made a seasoning with lime zest before. It was great, but took like 20 limes (zest) to make 1 jar.
Can't wait to try this!!
I love having this in pace of the zest. it uses so much less and is so much easier than having to stand and zest a zillion little limes!
Incredible. So brilliant!
Is the dry lime you prepared good for preserving eggs as well?
NOT the same kind of lime.
Hi, how did you make the lime powder? Did you grind up the lime pieces and their peel? Thanks!
Yes I did. I put them in a spice grinder (coffee grinder) and sifted them through a fine mesh sieve, then re-ground any bits until it was all powdered.
Hummm, why don't you remove the peels and seeds? I guess that comes out really bitter🤔
@@FyreflyesFolliesthe pith and peels don’t make them bitter?
