Rob Valentino is an excellent choice for Atlanta United's head coach due to his deep understanding of the club's culture, leadership skills, and tactical expertise. Since joining the organization in 2018, he has been instrumental in player development and team cohesion, first with Atlanta United 2 and later with the first team. Valentino has twice stepped up as interim head coach, most notably in 2021 when he led the team to a 4-2-2 record, showcasing his ability to motivate players and improve performance. His coaching philosophy emphasizes dynamic, attacking soccer balanced with defensive structure, perfectly aligning with the club's identity. Valentino’s strong relationships with players and commitment to fostering a positive team environment, combined with his loyalty and consistent success when called upon, make him the ideal leader to guide Atlanta United toward future success.
It’s a great story and rob honestly got what he deserved! This will look great on a resume, beating Messi and pulling up a BROKEN team for 4 elimination matches is no easy feat. Side note this is more of a stamp of how we really had a talented squad but for some reason or another the season was squandered!
Ppl are thinking about this on a emotional level and not a logical level. I don't think Rob is what we need even though I love Rob and appreciate what he did in the short time.
Didn’t think Rob was gonna be the pick, that said I do appreciate how he handled being thrust into a bad situation 2X.
