He generally looks more alive and seems to try his best when Ten is around. I think he's more close to Ten besides Jaehyun. Plus I feel there might be some healthy rivalry between the two as they're both stand out dancers in the nct (a big group with ever-increasing no of talented members).

I think they click cause Ten is a princess (a loving star that also loves to be taken care of) and Taeyong is innately a mother so. Also, Ten's bright cheerful personality complements Taeyong's quiet introversion. Both of them have this confident kid-like side in them that allows them to take strength and energy from each other. I ship this since the sm rookies era and, damn, I think they are the strongest pairing of NCT for many reasons (along with LuWoo). They're the only NCT couples I ship tbh. I actually think it was Tae who fell in love with Ten at first sight and Ten fell for him as time passed by. Tae always says he liked Ten from the start.
I’ve noticed that Taeyong is so much closer to Johnny, Yuta, Ten, and Mark. I don’t think it’s weird at all he does care for all his members but he’s just closer to these four more. Johnny is his first friend he had made in training period, Johnny even went to his sister’s wedding and went to Taeyong’s graduation that in SM Rookies app that in their schedules that they had to talk. He’s always helping Taeyong out like he’s the dad of NCT while Taeyong is the mom. Yuta it’s hard to explain how close Taeyong and him are close but you can see how comfortable Taeyong is with him and Johnny. Ten I feel is Taeyong’s other best friend or so called soulmate. Soulmates don’t have to be in loving term it can be meant for someone who is a best friend as well. With Mark, Taeyong simply adores him and saw him grow when he was just a kid in the trainee days. Taeyong is like Mark’s older brother that Mark adores so much. But it doesn’t mean he doesn’t care for his other members because he does but he’s just more comfortable with these four.
It's funny cause it seems like these are the same people Taeyong included that Ten is really close to add in Lucas and Taemin and wow.

I think if they do more projects together ppl will take more notice. Ppl usually only see nct127 promoting and Ten releases sth solo or with another member every once in a year or sth (which is a pretty big deal in group that has 18 never members already and is expected to grow even more next year) so it's not easy to see them together as much as fans would like.
So ppl tend to ship taeyong more with jaehyun as they're seen more together (nct127). Man ten is such a talented guy, I hope he's put in more shows like Hit the Stage or collaborates with veterans so that we can see his skill growing.
