Good review. I have this exact same mower with the 52 inch deck. Mine has almost 1200 hours now. Here is my review: Pros: good cut quality, good grass dispersion, easy to control and maneuver, and pretty fuel efficient ( I average about 1-1.2 gallons per hour). Cons: deck lift sucks, deck doesn’t go high enough, too many grease points, more difficult to do maintenance (you have to basically have 2 people to take the blades off to sharpen), doesn’t mow worth crap going backwards, sucks at doing big leaf clean ups (it doesn’t seem to suck the leaves off the ground well when there is a lot). I would also like to mention that it doesn’t hold hills well with the turf tires that are 24 by 9.5. I put tweels on it and it holds hills extremely well because of grip and they are 12 inches wide. Also, I think the engine is definitely not overpowered. I bog at times and I have had the engine shut off doing leaves. I wonder if my rpm is not set right? Who knows. I just thought I would give you my experience. I am looking at getting a Ferris z3x for my next stand on. It seems to be better built but I might get the new scag vride xl.
@@jadonnoble5621 I agree on the maintenance cons- too many grease points for sure, blades are difficult to get off solo, and the oil filter is in a tight spot as well on the 37 Vanguard. I’m planning on getting tweels when this set of tires wears out. Thanks for your feedback!
Love scags
