- Easy to make tasty breakfast combo for lazy Sunday mornings: soft and puffy batura and spicy yummy channa masala. This is a favourite combo that everyone likes. Made with variety and easy to get ingredients. Can be easily tried out by beginners.

Ingredients:
for special channa masala:
overnight soaked channa / chickpeas
water and salt as required
for gravy:
1 cup coconut scrapings
a small piece ginger
8-10 garlic cloves
3 green chillies
some coriander leaves
water as required
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seed
2 cinnamon sticks
3 cardamom
3-4 cloves
1/4 tsp whole black pepper powder
2 dried red chillies
3 onions sliced
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 tomato chopped
2.5 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder
1.5 tsp turmeric powder
salt as required
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp aam hoor powder / dry mango powder
water / chick pea stock as required
coriander leaves to garnish
for batura:
3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup roasted rawa / semolina
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
salt as required
1/4 cup curd
1 tbsp oil
~2 cup water (as required for the dough texture, here only 1 cup is used)
after kneading keep aside for 30 minutes
oil as required to fry
