- Exploring Presque Isle State Park By Bike - Erie, PA. This was a fun video to put together. In this video, I parked my car along the bay side closer to the entrance to the park. I hopped on my Schwinn mountain bike and started riding all over the park. On the multi-use path, you get to see things in Presque Isle that you don't normally get to see from the road. This was a lot of fun!
As it was Discover Presque Isle weekend, I was also able to enjoy a pancake breakfast from the Rotary Club. The people who ran the rotary club breakfast were very very nice. I definitely plan to go back to their annual breakfast next summer during Discover Presque Isle 2023 After breakfast I rode my bike up to the Presque Isle Lighthouse and checked out a few beaches on my way back to the car. Wallie I wanted to take my dad to the ocean since he was in the navy but knew he wasn't up for the ride etc instead I took him to Presque isle we went 2 beach 11 a few months later my dad passed away he was 88 so Erie will always mean a lot 2 me thanks for the video.

I have gone up to Erie and Presque Isle my whole life ever since I was a baby. The bike trails are also so busy esp in the summer and I always wanted to use the multi path. Thank you for the great video

Went to Erie July 21st. I went there 7/21/22 and there was 25 mph wind and there were small ocean type waves, kite flying, rafting and the sun was glistening off the water. I went to Beach 8 Pettigano (Sp) and they didn’t have those annoying stone piles distracting the view. They also had mats leading to beach and separate bathrooms so complete privacy for one person. I like wild Lake Erie with waves. You should go to Hulings Blueberries in Edinboro and pick blueberries. Easy to get to.

The first vid of yours I watched was you checking out some abandoned bank in the K Mart parking lot in North Versailles and I thought WTF. Now I'm watching this and I'll say this...first off great video, smart move to do it on a bike, more personable. Secondly you have a calm smooth speaking voice which enhances the vid. And lastly you're very handicap aware in alot of your vids which is unique.
This was a peaceful video; i enjoyed the view of lake Erie as you were riding on the trail.
Simply beautiful. Been there many times, hubby worked up there for about 3 years before retiring. We still go back to visit the casino & drop some $$$$. Thanks for the ride

The building which the lighthouse is attached to looks like it may have been a small country church. I absolutely love those types of churches! PI is very serene. The sounds of the lake calmed me! I love this! I don't even have to pack a suitcase or worry about filling up the gas tank with these videos! A different vacation with the tap of the TH-cam app!
The lighthouse tower is attached a four-bedroom residence that was used by the lighthouse keeper when it opened in1873. Its first keepers were paid $520 per year, and were entitled to use the residence attached to the lighthouse. From 1974 to 1986, the Coast Guard used the Presque Isle Light as supplemental housing and assigned it to personnel and their families. The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources opted to house state park officials in the lighthouse until 2014. On July 25, 2014, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources transferred the Presque Isle Light, in a 35-year lease to a nonprofit organization charged with restoring and operating the lighthouse as a museum.

We talked about driving up there today but since it’s kinda a cloudy and Labor Day weekend we maybe go up next week if it’s nice. When do stuff close up there? Do you know Wallie?
Well most places are still open for awhile. Swimming at Presque Isle ends on Monday evening unfortunately unless you want to risk swimming in the lake at your own risk. Sara's will still be open through October. I'm not 100% sure but I think this is Waldameer's last weekend for the season.

This was part of a 3 day weekend at the end of July. My mountain bike is just your tradional mountain bike that I have to pedal. No electric or anything! But I love that bike
@@WallieB26 very cool wallie I think it was your tires that we’re making a lot of the road noise in the video we have a couple electric bikes and i film some of are kids riding and it sounds the same very cool bike and tour .

It's not an electric bike. Just an old school pedal mountain bike.
