It's beyond me why this isn't a standard in every single program. Not just window managers. All programs. I mean, it just makes sense and every program I've used that has this sort of workflow has become instant favourites of mine. I'm planning on using qtile more, so this is definitely another big plus!
Why got my comment removed, where I show a screenshot that I have enabled more than 10 workspaces? But it does not come for free, as you have to reprogram the configuration.
TH-cam deletes everything with a link (or at least the legit stuff. The spam crap still shows ujp, LOL). In the future if you need to send me something like that, my email address is on the about page. I tried to find a way to add more workspaces, but couldn't manage to find anything about it.
@@TheLinuxCast Today I just tried it out and it worked. But there is no easy way to enable more workspaces, because Qtile default configuration is designed around a numbered sequence as workspace names. I changed a bit of the code (as I know a bit of Python) and could add any group/workspace with single letters as names. I had workspaces from 0 to 9, plus a, b and c. I need to take the time to make a little tutorial or something like that.
Wow another reply got deleted. And it didn't even have links, I was showing the code and talked about how to accomplish this. Man TH-cam is ()!$%^(! (frustrating).
As a Qtile and Python user, I haver to ask why? What makes Xmonad better than Qtile, that I would give up my entire configuration and start from scratch and learning a new programming language to configure it to my liking?

*laughs in emacs*
You know you can do keychords with sxhkd right?
Example:
alt + shift + b ; {a,b,d,y,r}
bmanager.sh {-a ,-b,-d,-y,-r}
Ooooooh. You made my day.
@@TheLinuxCast you welcome :-)
Love keychords in EXWM.
That's the emacs window manager right?
Qtile is my favorite WM, and I don't even use key chords yet. Time to start
I3 (or at least sway) supports that too.
yeah i3 does
Hey bud. Can you use key chords via sxhkd or dxhk and import them ?

Great stuff!!
Wait I thought Derek said we were all moving back to xmonad this week. Lol. But seriously this video was cool stuff.
I always mess up qtile config ... lets xmonad :)
Reject Qtile emplace Xmonad
