I like the previous generation design which has rubber feet on the palm rest (so to prevent scratches while the palm rest is exposed to hard surface in tablet mode). Does the keyboard in the new Yoga X390 have lift-n-lock mechanism? It doesn't look so from the preview. Previous generation Thinkpad Yoga and X1 Yoga line keyboard will flatten when they are converted to tablet mode.

No, it does NOT have the lift-n-lock mechanism for the keyboard. We have many of the ThinkPad YOGA 260's, and the original S1 Yoga's, which had the nice lift-n-lock feature. Also, the X390 we handled did NOT disable the clickers nor the touchpad when in tablet mode - only the keys would stop from typing. Our demo users would repeatedly cause cursor movement and right-click actions when trying to hold the 390 in tablet mode. Hoping that we were just given a faulty unit to demo...

@@techebay7754 Ah... that's not a good news. The previous models (Yoga S1, 260, 370 and X380) did it right to lock the keyboard in tablet mode. This keyboard lock feature differentiate the Thinkpad Yoga line and Lenovo's consumer Yoga...
I wonder why they omit such a useful feature in the new model. Perhaps to lure people buy X1 Yoga instead? X390 Yoga is considered lower tier model compared to X1.

@@aandries Actually, that's what we heard from Lenovo... it was to help lower the price, and differentiate it from the higher tier X1 Yoga. Yes, we were disappointed to learn this.
Plus the touchpad and clickers not getting disabled when in the folded position is really problematic, and hopefully just a faulty unit. Who is going to want to go through the steps to go into SETTINGS to manually turn off the touchpad and clickers every time one puts it in tablet mode?

@@techebay7754 I watched the hands-on preview and it seems that X1 Yoga (2019) also doesn't have keyboard locking mechanism.
Maybe it wasn't clear since it was only a preview and not a detailed review. Otherwise, perhaps the feature is no longer available in future Thinkpad Yogas?
The previous X1 Yoga was very clean as the keyboard is retracted inside of the body. Although there were complaints that the key was stuck inside the body.

Is it normal for this "anti-smudge, anti-glare" screen to look like it has a slight smudge all over the screen?
Is this the anti-glare or anti-smudge part? I need a display that is crystal clear like my old Yoga 260
