Not only is this a great song choice, it's one of the best performances of this amazing song. Well done, what a pleasure to hear such young and talented people.
Right. This is Jim's best song he ever wrote. People might disagree with me, but Jim's second best song was "It's Coming Back to Me." In my opinion, the best Jim's songs weren't originally done by Meat.
This classic mega hit (#1 for four weeks and in the top 40 for 18 weeks in 1983) is not an easy one to do especially as it progresses. The sweet lead singer did this so great. My eyes are watery when these kids do the old classics that my generation loved and listened to for so many years.
I can only give one thumbs up to this because that's all they allow, I'd give a million in a heartbeat, this version is every bit as haunting and beautiful as the original, well done.
This cover of Total Eclipse of the Heart belongs in the same cannery of the original Song . Miss Bonnie Tyler would be so proud to hear this . Wow from the beginning to the end it's Fantastic . The lead singer for sounds Incredible.
I don't know if these young musicians know how much of a epic song this is and what it means to tens of millions..but I'll give them their props. They did it solid.
So much to love about School Of Rock musicians...incredibly talented, incredibly passionate...the kicker is their reverence for the music earlier generations produced...thanks for it all SOR!
Amazing - these kids are incredible. This is a great song and has one of the all time greatest lines - "I'm livin' in a powder keg and givin' off sparks"
Absolutely a beautiful rendition well done everyone.. Bonnie Tyler should be very proud I’ve heard many covers of this song but this this one is most definitely the best again an incredible performance from everyone
Great performances all around. - But that lead singer, Lexi, she is something else. Such a sweet voice and really nice vibrato. Superb. Great fit for the song, too.
A brilliant production. The lead singer’s voice is nothing like Bonnie Tyler’s, she’s done a version that suits her own talents and that shy, slightly broken demeanour is actually more appropriate for the lyrics.
Love this song. You guys are awesome. Loved the guitar solos, and the vocals are wow, just WOW, I can't wait to hear Lexi when she really lets go and tears it up!
You can hear pain and anguish in the vocals- and THAT is what makes her a great singer. This song IS about pain and anguish of the heart (assuming that part of the heart still works after becoming a vampire- yes, that's what this song is about). Props to everyone, this was a brilliant cover.
Wow 😳 This was Excellent! Lexi looks so scared singing when the camera is on her. A timid look. Then when she starts singing she has an extremely similar vibrato to Bonnie Tyler. Minus the Raspy & Smokey voice. She sang all the parts so perfectly soft to the buildup dramatic on the main course, and then so soft and subtle on the outro. What an excellent job. She brought her power voice up right when it needed to be but didn't overdo it. I'm so impressed with these students they are truly professionals already in my opinion. I played in three different rock bands and I can tell you that it's very hard to get a singer that can pull this song off and sound like Bonnie Tyler. It is a power ballad no doubt. But requires someone with a good vibrato that can be subtle and soft and then just belt it out. And the lead guitar work from the two Guitar 🎸 players it was amazing. The piano intro was spot on. And the backup singers, Megan and Michelle, they were in the right pitch so perfect. And then near the end when the backup singers Megan and Michelle are, were singing Lexi brought it a third above for the Harmony and it sounded so great. One of the best performances from the school of rock I've seen in a long time.
Wouldn't you be scared singing this song. I never have a nerve to sing this song at karaoke. This is the best song that Jim Steinman ever wrote. It was a very hard song to sing. She was definitely scared, but she nailed it. It's definitely the best cover I ever heard.
Gotta be honest, I remember this song from back in the day. But this was the first time I actually liked it. This performance turned a random pop song into something more. Thanks.
Lead singer is awesome. And her demeanor is a big plus - relying on talent rather than histrionics and gimmicks. I wonder if the school recognized her vibrato and picked this song to fit, or if they first picked the song and then looked for a lead that could handle it? Probably the former?
You young people are great , I do have one item that I need to tell you “ The Roland Key Board you are using when it breaks and if it is more than 7 years old There are NO FACTORY PARTS AVAILABLE “ after 7 years they toss the parts out in the dumpster. That is a Fact. Good luck In getting it fixed when something goes wrong with it. 😊
Solid Performance guys!! The arrangement are very good! Soloes are fantastique! J'adore le message sur la guitare «trop jeune pour mourrir»! At 3:07 Love the high notes piano! The vocals are sublime! Thank for making this version!
Been watching the songs on this channel and am so surprised just how the songs are still alive. Never thought they'd be still be played to this day with updated versions. You all done me proud.
Wow she has a nice voice. Lexi is it. That young lady has a future if she finds the right songs to compliment her voice. She has the looks too. More please.
I love this performance. The song has been a favorite of mine since I first heard it from Bonnie Tyler. I’ve gone back to listen to Bonnie’s version. These kids are as good or better than her version. I can’t stop watching them.
Cool seeing all these youngsters covering the old classics. No better way to truly appreciate a great song than to perform it. It probably takes dozens and dosens of rehersals to nail it.
Great job! Glad Lexi let loose towards the end. I wish she would of put that emotion in the whole song. Years ago Ava Cohen from the SoR sang this. She was PHENOMENAL❗
I was in High School when I heard this song and your rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart is awesome. Keep doing what your doing. Remember when your older you will look fondly on these days. Good luck
Fantastic! Great performance by everyone. But again Erin is my favourite because she really lives and feels every single beat or note and line of the songs
Just found your channel. Wow, this was great, all around. As others said, this was a #1 hit and these kids (no offense) covered it so well. Man that was pretty is about all that needs to be said. Thanks.
From an old rocker to you young rockers nicely done !!!The passion of each of you was so obvious and was felt with each note !! Loved the emotion of the lead singer !! Always did like this song and this version was on fire !!keep rockin✌️💕🎶 Keep Rollin✌️💕🎶
I have no hesitation in saying I prefer this to the original. The vocal delivery here is much more nuanced and really suits the message of the lyrics, wicked guitar solo in the middle too. Does anyone know where we can hear more of Lexi? I would love to see that vocal range across a variety of genres.
After hearing this once I went to hear Bonnie Tyler again, on the original video of Total Eclipse of the Heart. Then I came back and heard this version again. I went back and forth like this 2 or 3 times. Each time I had to conclude that Lexi gave the best performance of this song.
Not only is this a great song choice, it's one of the best performances of this amazing song. Well done, what a pleasure to hear such young and talented people.
Fabulous! i'm nigh on 70 and these kids make me realize perhaps Real Music will Not be forgotten! Thank You!!!
Right. This is Jim's best song he ever wrote. People might disagree with me, but Jim's second best song was "It's Coming Back to Me." In my opinion, the best Jim's songs weren't originally done by Meat.
I grew up in the 80s. Thank you for bringing back the memories. This band nailed it!
Thanks God to having young guys like these!!!and special thanks to their teachers

These kids are totally awesome! I am especially blown away by the vocals. I always love to see the music of my youth perpetuating to a new generation.
I don't know if these young musicians know how much of a epic song this is and what it means to tens of millions..but I'll give them their props. They did it solid.
THEY know.........HELLO!
You are absolutely correct. This is such an epic song. Jim Steinman was a music genius.
Lexi is a truly talented singer in a class of her own. Wow! She hits the notes effortlessly.
These guys ... Wow. So talented ! The lead singer !!!
Lexi has a fantastic voice.
Congrats to the whole band, Lexi's sweet soprano gives the song a whole new dimension. An amazing achievement given that the original is iconic.
So much to love about School Of Rock musicians...incredibly talented, incredibly passionate...the kicker is their reverence for the music earlier generations produced...thanks for it all SOR!
Gal on vocals is amazing . Congratulations .
The one you can see or the ones you can't? ridiculous masking

This is an example of a musician vs just a person with a good voice. Her expressiveness and emotion is truly amazing. Great job!
This kids have more talent than they know. They have bright futures in front of them. Nice to see it.
Piano girl - my love! Prima - great expression without efforts. Cool
They are covering an iconic song and iconic vocals. This vocalist does really well
school of rock seriously rocks, i just love watching all these young people doing classic songs
It's good to see Erin in an easy way, she is a professional.
The passion of these kids! Their performance sends shivers down my spine!
Lexi,... what a clear voice... Bonnie Tyler has to say thank you for your singing! Great perfomance!
When I watch and listen to School of Rock the music never lets me down but the vocals sometimes aren't quite there. This was an excellent job!
Amazing - these kids are incredible. This is a great song and has one of the all time greatest lines - "I'm livin' in a powder keg and givin' off sparks"

Great performances all around. - But that lead singer, Lexi, she is something else. Such a sweet voice and really nice vibrato. Superb. Great fit for the song, too.
I Agree. You could hear the Sadness in her tone occasionally. After all, this a Heart Break Song.
A brilliant production. The lead singer’s voice is nothing like Bonnie Tyler’s, she’s done a version that suits her own talents and that shy, slightly broken demeanour is actually more appropriate for the lyrics.
Subtle strength in all vocals and instruments. Excellent work

@@blpadge2 Very Talented group.
Well said. Great performance!😎

Lexi, you nailed it!
Brilliant. The best School of Rock performance I’ve seen so far. The lead singer has a fabulous range.
Gotta be honest, I remember this song from back in the day. But this was the first time I actually liked it. This performance turned a random pop song into something more. Thanks.
Great to see the younger generation learning great musical classics
There is hope.
Awesome vocals and musicians my favorite song of the 80's I love the fact these talented people respect the older rock songs
Lead singer is awesome. And her demeanor is a big plus - relying on talent rather than histrionics and gimmicks. I wonder if the school recognized her vibrato and picked this song to fit, or if they first picked the song and then looked for a lead that could handle it? Probably the former?
If I had to guess, they have many talented artists and they pick & choose who's the best fit per song.
I'm 72, I have heard this song many times over the years But the lead singer made me cry.
Most beautiful❤❤❤
You young people are great , I do have one item that I need to tell you “ The Roland Key Board you are using when it breaks and if it is more than 7 years old There are NO FACTORY PARTS AVAILABLE “ after 7 years they toss the parts out in the dumpster. 2:47 - 3:43 heals my soul. Thank you.
This song is all histrionics though. She's obviously a good singer, but this song needs more drama and grit.
Nicley done!! Lead vocal you have the voice, you have the control.... just need to let it go. Open it up ... beautiful voice!
Fantastic job, Lexi. The rest of the team as well.
Great stuff... huge respect for all these young people who choose challenging songs, and perform them with passion and commitment.
Lexi reminds me a lot of Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA, one of my all time favorite groups. Really clean, clear, and powerful. Amazing song!
Solid Performance guys!! The arrangement are very good! Soloes are fantastique! J'adore le message sur la guitare «trop jeune pour mourrir»! At 3:07 Love the high notes piano! The vocals are sublime! Thank for making this version!

Very nice! Tight performance. Lexi nailed the lead vocals
Lexi is a superstar. Does she have any socials? Where else can we see her? What a great performance by all.
Great performance by everyone. The best cover ever for this song.
So much talent on show here - not least the lead vocal. So genuine and true.
Yes everyone is great, but still the lead singer is something so delicate that makes me listen to this on repeat. Beautiful
Great song, amazing vocals and fantastic musicians ! ❤
Wow, AWESOME!! And i just noticed Erin is on the Keys. She changed a lot in 2 years, shes beautiful!
Cool seeing all these youngsters covering the old classics. No better way to truly appreciate a great song than to perform it. It probably takes dozens and dosens of rehersals to nail it.

The best rendition of this song I’ve heard. Awesome performance!
