This pedal is perfect for players who use one pedalboard and have two or more differently voiced amps to choose from. I don't know what subdecay's engineering resources are, but a midi-controllable version- or at least a version with foot-switchable presets- would be amazing.
Probably way off, but here were my best "analogues" to each setting: Drive - ts9 Drive 2 - BD2 Crunch - SD1 Vintage - Dist+ Fuzz - FF Fuzz 2 - Rat Meltdown - ? 80s - DS1 90s - Muff Modern - OCD Modern 2 - MT2
The title says analog so question: does that mean every single setting has its own circuit, sorta like the Jhs muffuletta or even kinda like the EQ Palisades? Anyone know?
Hmmmmm...idk about that. I'm not trying to be all Mr Only Analog All The Time or anything; I almost like emulated/digitally processed choruses more than analog ones etc, but I'm suspicious of emulated/digitally processed distortion. I know alot of major leaps have been made in the last few years but my experience with digitally processed distortion has been very negative. Anyone care to weigh in? I'd like to hear as many different opinions as possible.
+Jojo Giles I have the Boss Power Stack. Apparently digital.. but sounds very good. Marshall type distortion, and has very good range.I've encountered a lot of digital distortions, and I agree, some of them are..horrible. But I feel that this is the best, most amp like that I have experienced..
The Vector has an all analog signal path. There are not eleven individual circuits. There are sections switched in our out of the icrcuit with analog switches. (similar to how moog bypass works) Gain and tone stack are digitally controlled, but the signal path is never digital. This was partly inspired by old Boss multi-effects like the GX700 and GT3 which, while mostly digital did have an internal analog overdrive circuit. They kind of cheated though, because some of the tone shaping of internal overdrives and fuzzes happened digitally before and after the analog portion.
While I think it's a cool and versatile pedal, I don't like it when pedals designed to go into the front of an amp are dubbed preamps, simply because it makes shopping for an actual preamp (designed to go to a power amp/effects return) more difficult.
We didn't feel like we could call it a fuzz, overdrive AND distortion. We almost just called it the Vector and nothing else, but then it doesn't give any really indication of what it is. We also considered Vector "dirt machine" but concerned that "dirt" may not translate well to other languages.
Hmm, I see you quandary. Just pitching ideas here, perhaps the drive pallette or gain library? I know that would intrigue me enough to check it out if I wasn't sure what it was.
What about calling it the 'My Schizoid Friend' pedal. Or 'The Mother of all Gain' pedal (this name should sell well in Iraq, an under-served market for sure). Well anyway, would love to hear this thing cranked whilst plugged straight into the EL Return (bypass built in pre-amp, etc) on a tube amp.

I had a Subdecay flanger. Sounded amazing through my amps fx loop. Those guys seem to make good pedals.
Now I want to stick a P90 in my T-style.
That's pretty damn impressive, all wrapped up in the size of a phase 90!
Probably way off, but here were my best "analogues" to each setting:

Modern - OCD

Very versatile pedal. Great enjoyable demo as always!
Thanks for demoing this pedal :D
Wow, very impressed..
Buy 11 of them, put them through a GigRig switcher and instant ultra cover band range of sounds! :)
Yes, very practical. Haha!
Heck of a lot of good shizzle in a tiny package 👍
I saw you video and bought one
Just bought one in 2020. Hoping I can make it sound this killer.
What's the verdict 3 years on? Still using it?
✨ Very cool pedal ✨
Since it's digitally controlled, wouldn't be possible (and cool) to add presets and MIDI to this thing? Kinda like Chase Bliss Audios' Brothers
This sounds great!

Digitally controlled analog gain stages is what the website states. I doubt it's 11 separate channels/diodes/circuits in that little box.
Your signal will stay analog, but the gain is shaped digitally. Couple of them sound really good to me.

sweet mother of pearl this thing sounds badarss !
I have got to get one !
Kevin, if you're in Australia and keen, look me up on Facebook, send me a PM and I'll get you sorted with this one.
thanks man, but I am in the u.s. they only sell these at riff city guitar .
I guess I’ll soon be running a preamp into a preamp into a preamp.
