But I think that you should have been restarting the game to the point Frederick castle was to show up with at least two big towers for the mangonels to be set up there. The outcome would be different. Because he was harrased for the most time with long distance weapons Saladin was constantly pouring at him. So he has no effective defense agaist that.
Saladin without engineers is like a better Sultan at best. Emir is such a fun AI lord tho, defense 3/5 - economy 4/5 aggressivity 11/5 , I love how he just prints arabian swordsmen / horse archers and straight sends them when he has the gold!
fredrick should tank for his team and emir should dispatch the rats, this way both can play to their strenghts, which is needed when facing saladin and lionheart.

Yes on minute 10 I switched the positions and did a second match
