  • AMY BROADBENT sings Blue Boat Home at the University of Maryland, College Park.
JAMES LEVY is her amazing piano accompaniment.
In this version, Amy misses a couple of words that do not match the original Peter Mayer lyrics.
1- *Greet the infinite sea before me, is sung as "see" the infinite..."
2- *to the waves upholding me, is sung as "for" the waves..."
    Song Artist: Peter Mayer
    Album: Earth Town Square
    Music: Roland Hugh Prichard
It should be mentioned that I lowered the original volume in the first few seconds of the piano immediately after the first two verses when the piano loudly picks up. I felt it was too loud. I lowered and tapered the volume off smoothly so it cannot be noticed.
Thank you for watching. Feel free to share, subscribe, like, and comment!

Oh my what a lovely voice Amy has! There's a conversation moving between her singing and the accompaniment of the piano. This is just such a lovely rendition of this wonderful song. It's one of my favorites in the UU hymnal.

Had Peter Mayer play this at our UU church. We must remember we are sailing the universe and need to take better care of the Earth.

I'm better for knowing this song. We all are. Slowly, surely, we are all getting better.

Bless you for listening and commenting. I agree, we humans are slowly getting better and hope we don't take many steps backwards for every few steps forward.

After a decade of playing for a Congregational church, my brain goes straight to Advent when I hear this. It’s “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus.”

Agreed, practically the same music, but lyrics written centuries apart. Both are composed by Rowland H. Prichard.

@@kazaphi but the centuries old tune, and original lyrics, came first.

Awesome! I didn't know that until I looked both up.

She does this splendidly. Should be emphasized that the lyrics as well as the arrangement are Peter Mayer's.

@@Vurbanowicz yes I believe the title has "arr Peter Mayor). In the description I might have lyrics by Peter but if not I'll add it 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏼. Thank you!! 🙏🏼😎

What's the name of the marvelous accompanist? He's more than a pianist; this is the top end of the accompanist's art.
