Mo Faal was bought as a project, and the project is in progress. Saying "In Parky we trust, BUT ..." is saying, "... but not when the going gets tough". If Parky, from what he's got on film in Mo Faal's various game time and what he has seen in practice, thought that Mo Faal was better defence and a better contribution to the attack than Ollie after Ollie has played 70 minutes ... he would have brought Mo on after 70'. The fact that he brought Mo Faal in at 80' says he thinks Mo is better than Ollie Palmer when Ollie is absolutely and totally gassed. Parky's comments on Mo's play suggests that Mo did not disappoint the expectation that he'd be better on the field than a totally gassed Palmer, but that is not really that high of a bar to clear. "If you are good enough, you are old enough", and it's clear where the issues in being "good enough" lay: Per Sparky: “One thing about Mo is that he can finish. He wants to get in that six-yard box and score. We’re getting him fitter, we’re getting him stronger and he’s learning from some very good strikers in the club already,” ... so he needs to add strength and needs to add fitness to be an effective contribution to the squad at the League 1 level. As that strength and fitness improves, the "how tired does Ollie have to be before Mo Faal is better" meter will be ticking down the watch. And as far as "you GOTTA PLAY YOUR SQUAD!!!!11!!!" ... he's not even on the squad sheet yet. That won't come until next year.
50:53 ....cheers for that fellas 👍
