If you are doing 3 year course(degree) you would get PIN number after successfully completing the course, however if you do master degree you need to clear language test ( IELTS/OET at present, I think) with required score as per the NMC requirement, but dependent visa is allowed for Master degree.

It's not cheap as you all think , very few universities in UK allow you to get PIN number and placement without IELTS/OET as it's the requirement by NMC. Even if you obtain nursing gradation from India or UK salary will be same.
