The performance of the Solomon's knot is so beautiful and dramatic with ful of the joy and love of the life. Superb quality!! Thank you for your marvelous performance!!!
Merci beaucoup!
Great to see the latin pronounced "à la française" comme il se doit !
I like how you have the translation displayed. Great performance!
Thanks! It took Jonny many, many hours 😅
Perfect!
Great performance of the real masterpiece! This music is still undiscovered.
A truly great performance. Pronouncing the latin words with the period French accent is especially cool imo.
Beautiful. Perfect for the season!🎄
So great to hear this wonderful work getting more exposure via this fantastic ensemble of musicians!
Post-opera Charpentier digging deep into the wonder of his firmly held faith.
These later works are subtle and scholars are discovering what harmonic strides the composer made in the last quarter of his composing life.
This is not a work to be assessed in a single hearing because one has to allowed it to permeate. It is wonder full to the brim.
I always loved this piece ever since Les Arts Florissants recorded it about 20 years ago. Nice to see more performances available now. This is down a step from my score.
I wonder why the musical director is doing some voodoo from the background. He probably wasn’t aware that the eye of the camera catches everything. His colleagues are doing a wonderful job. Nice live performance, bravo 👍🏻
I am pretty sure he is just feeling the music. If you look at other videos like for example "Johann Kuhnau ~ Frohlocket, ihr Völker" you can see he clearly needs to restrain himself to not start dancing. For me, that is great.
