Dude there’s a whole community around this, ball jointed doll painters, repaint dolls, sculptors, it’s super interesting to see the process and a bunch of artists with their own styles out there, some with cartoony styles and others with a more realistic style.,, I’d recommend watching some doll repainting vids if ur interested.
These are beautiful! I think the reason people find them scary is because they look so much like people and not objects that it unsettles them a bit. I think it's awesome, though!
