I just wonder why she didn't kill the mob boss during his massage, and didn't anticipate that he might be coming back after her. And why he was kept around even though he is no longer a threat to Lucy... at all. And why the mob boss or his subordinate couldn't figure out how she gained her powers and didn't take the drugs themselves. That would mean she'd actually have someone to worry about and even have a real fight at one point.
The part about the guy clapping in the audience is so fucking true it's not even funny. You ALWAYS get that one guy! Anyway, I guess I could skip out on this film.
This film was great. They're looking to feel sympathy (once she became powerful) because that's what traditional narratives train you to do, but that's when you're supposed to enjoy the ride and just explore her superpowers because it's not written to be that traditional hero arc.
I wish I have money to donate to their site as they totally deserve it. Great reviewer very funny and entertaining. For the first time I have this urge to donate to them as to show my support. But I can only subscribe and like their videos. Really funny and entertaining videos
Lol everybody butthurt about how we don't actually use 10% of our brains, but it's still a movie at the end of the days and it was really interesting and entertaining
***** It's dumb in that it doesn't really take itself seriously, other than how a being with her kind of power would actually act in our world. It was fun to watch.
I actually really liked the ending because it showed that when the brain capacity reaches 100%, 100% is actually infinity and infinite is measured by time as said in the movie. So the last 10 minutes of the movie shows all of that from her perspective. And the last frame of the movie shows that she's in fact an infinite being. It blew me away.
... I was gonna look up what the ending was to see why they hated it so much but I think you just showed me. Thanks for that I guess? And man, you need to see some movies with actually good twist endings.
I really loved this movie and I thought it was interesting how they interpreted the way the brain can control how and what we see and how this affects our emotions and the people in our relationships. It also showed a woman as being strong, assertive, and sure of herself which I also liked.
That whole saying is a misconception. Your brain is always using multiple parts of itself . it's just that the percentage of use is divided among the brain.
The reason why Lucy fails big time is because its simply a vehicle for Scarlet Johansson. Hollywood always try to do this, they think oh this persons huge in this franchise, so lets stick them in a movie on their own and let them make some money for us. Johansson, awesome as Black Widow in the MCU, on her own shes really kind of dull. Chris Evans the same, hes outstanding as Captain America, but he really cant carry a movie on his own. And this was the shortest review ever from you guys i think.
I LITERALLY said I wish she'd had shown some more humanity with her change to cerebral control as I was leaving. Like if it moved slower from basic bitch to fucking professor X with some fear and transition that would be normal for someone who just flew on to the ceiling like she was having world's worst trip
After I watched this film, I sat there and thought, "Why the hell did anyone want to make this crap." Was there a reason for it; a point beyond the obvious?
For me, it was like Luc Besson saw a pretentious art movie and decided that he could do one of those, only actually make it entertaining. Choi Min Sik honestly stole this movie for me, though.
This movie looked dumb from the trailers. It came off as a dumb action flick. I honestly hate these dumb pseudo-intellectual b/s concept movies have where they say "oh we are smarter than you, let us tell you how this works." We aren't stupid, we know that you can't use 100% of your brain.
Sorry to say but... You actually can. And do. The whole 10% thing you're saying is an unbreakable law is the real pseudoscience, and I can't wait until the day enough people know that that people stop trying to sell it. I seriously hate the trope and the misconception it's based on.
These guys are my favorite movie reviewers. They are too damn funny and spot on at the same time.
+Cisco De Leon Fr, I am dying over here!
KOREY'S MORGAN FREEMAN IMPRESSION LMFAOOO
lol
Nathan Zed yeah bruh I almost died lol 😂
And the villain is actually the star from the original OLDBOY
Koreys comparison of a scream Asian to a starting motorcycle at 3:57 had me rolling on the floor for quite a while
Korey's Morgan Freeman impression makes me crack up laughing every time!!!
"He used about 1% of his brain to make this movie" LMAO
Lucy is short for Lucifer. She became a god and left the light of knowledge to the people.
Martin cracked me up with that zeros comment

I love how they genuinely find each other funny after all these years. They are funny so that helps but still.
Great review, y'all. I probably got more entertainment from this review than I would have ever gotten from the movie.
Agreed, these guys are funny as well as informative,
That impersonation was on point Korey! Lol
The part about the guy clapping in the audience is so fucking true it's not even funny. You ALWAYS get that one guy! Anyway, I guess I could skip out on this film.

+HitsuTwistedTalong They have a website DoubleToasted.com You can actually subscribe to their premium content if you want to support...
this review was great. XD
I don't care what you guys say, Transcendence was great. I wish it went a different route, but the whole consciousness debate was worth it alone.
This movie tried to compete with Transcendence. Tried.
I be trying to fit a freestyle in on everyone of these intros...That Beat!
that one clap at the movies be cracking me up
You draw yourself as a woman a lot Korey...anything you want to tell us?
JojoDigitalArtist I think he might be bisexual
He doesn’t have to because I will. He’s either bi or he enjoys cross dressing. I think both.
you know what psychologists call it when a person uses 100% of their brain all at once? A fucking seizure.
You guys are so funny, the motorcycle thing made laugh so much...love it!
Are you guys not posting the reviews on SoundCloud anymore?
I hope not, I always love listening to you guys on my way to uni.
I would honestly like to see Korey make his own movie!
He did. It was called 2am and he made it like a decade ago. It even played at a festival.
I loved the movie, one of my all time favorite.
Silver Mirai good joke!
Lol everybody butthurt about how we don't actually use 10% of our brains, but it's still a movie at the end of the days and it was really interesting and entertaining
I hear it's dumb actually and lame
Thankfully this world has opinions
***** It's dumb in that it doesn't really take itself seriously, other than how a being with her kind of power would actually act in our world. It was fun to watch.
Corey's impressions are impressive.
Matinee for me It's not amazing but the visuals are great and it entertains
This movie was great.
I agree, this joint started off good then totally shit the bed.

Morgan freeman expression had me dying he sound like free man with an Asian accent
will there be an audio version for this review?
I'm surprised they didn't compare it with Akira.
It looks like Akira indeed.
Satoshi Katsumoto akira is a classic, to compare it to lucy would taint its status
The diference it's that at the end she transforms into black matter, and tetsuo into a fucking mutant giant fetus.
Look at Koreys nose
***** Doesn't seem like a black guy's nose
This movie went from 100 to 0 real quick
The movie is pure gnostic philosphy.
GOOD QUESTION. I have a better question, what percentage of your brain went into this review?
*****
Nah. I 100%, of my brain, DOUBT IT.
Love your review
Nice review guys!
I had that today into the storm
I really loved this movie and I thought it was interesting how they interpreted the way the brain can control how and what we see and how this affects our emotions and the people in our relationships. It also showed a woman as being strong, assertive, and sure of herself which I also liked.
I do wonder how things would work if we used 100% of our brains all at once.
You'd go crazy.
The whole brains not be used all at once thing is in itself a stupid and baseless concept.
That whole saying is a misconception. Your brain is always using multiple parts of itself . it's just that the percentage of use is divided among the brain.
Tytarion Daggeron The brain works at 100% all the time, yours probably is like at 10% for asking that stupid question HAHAHAHAHAHHA

Hah, I got 969 on the upvote, YAHTZEE!
They are actually korean instead of chinese.
What's with the shirt, Korey?
I LITERALLY said I wish she'd had shown some more humanity with her change to cerebral control as I was leaving. I saw transcendence in theatre it was ehh and I saw Lucy in theater and thought I was good but because I like the sexy numb female assassin type

Martin was right with a Fuck you on this movie Lol.
"...like Chronicle"

After I watched this film, I sat there and thought, "Why the hell did anyone want to make this crap." Was there a reason for it; a point beyond the obvious?
My brother and my sister-in-law said this movie sucked. They even said they wasted their money on this BS.
Had a sub u... Good breakdown..
I'm too high for this fukn review man. Lmfaooo ppl tryna sleep n shit XD
they are koreanss
Lmao 😂
i liked it. Was kinda silly and a bit weird but it was still better than oblivion. That movie was absolute shit.
Completely botched that mans name haha Choi min-sik
U wearing makeup bro?
For me, it was like Luc Besson saw a pretentious art movie and decided that he could do one of those, only actually make it entertaining. Choi Min Sik honestly stole this movie for me, though.
This move is very dumb. The scenes with Morgan Freeman giving his speech or whatever at the lecture made me cringe because of the stupidity.
Man, that Matilda sequel sucked.
Great review i did not like this movie.
