Haber needs to do some research. Great Ormond Street Hospital has some of the best specialist doctors/surgeons in the world hence why it is one of only 2/3 hospitals world wide to carry out some procedures. As do Bristol children’s hospital, Birmingham children’s Hospital and others in the UK.
Health care provided by Nurses in the UK is far better than abroad because they don’t do it for money they do it because they want to.
As for long term illnesses, my grandmas cancer treatment was 10/10. Absolutely brilliant, given 8 weeks to live and 10 years later she’s still going.
My mother in law diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 30’s given 2 years and 25 years later still going strong.
Her mother in law diagnosed with leukaemia over 50 years ago, still going strong.
All because of the expert care provided by the NHS. Yes, America for example may have some elite specialists but to say their health care is far better than ours is disrespectful to our NHS workers. I can see your point about waiting lists etc but that’s due to the lack of funding not lack of good healthcare workers.

I’d be happy for people I know to be on a waitlist atleast you’re not denied because you can’t afford it or the insurance we pay for doesn’t qualify for it. I 100% agree with you. I’m American and I wish we had something like what you described

Awful take on healthcare IMO. I live in America and was diagnosed with a pretty serious illness and it took me months just to see a specialist who wasn't even that clear about my illness. Luckily for me, my family has good health insurance, other people would be royally fucked if they were in my position.

Haber is a mug, 'you never find good doctors in the UK' but his complaints are about the systemic failings of the NHS, which are organisational/financial issues. There's a 2 week wait for cancer referrals. Nobody with cancer is waiting 8 months for a scan.
He hasn't got a clue what he's talking about.
There are plenty of fantastic doctors in this country. The ones that move abroad largely do it out of a want to earn more money, not because of skill.
