Thanks so much for sharing! I was there that magic night as well. This was one of my favorite moments from the show. So glad you filmed it! Great memories.

Piggyback on Streisand? Please. Would she like to be more well known? Perhaps, but she's been doing what she loves to do for some time now and still going strong. Her popularity is not a reflection on her, rather than it's a reflection on the timing, on the niche that she's in, and on where the culture is at any given time. Streisand is a great singer, but her ego and her politics ruined it for me.
I've been fortunate to have watch her perform, live, quite a few years ago, and she sounded better than she does on her team recordings.

Linda introduces herself, "Hi, I'm Linda Eder and I'm a singer." Streisand thinks that she's the Queen and, although she barely made it through high school, everyone must listen to her opinions on world affairs. Give me down-to-earth please.

@@theatrain1323 Streisand actually graduated from Erasmus Hall with honors.

It's called freedom of speech and you don't have to listen.

@@richardmayora1289 Did I really say that about Streisand? She is very far from the only one to be involved in politics. I've always felt that they are not very effective. Their fans love them because of their artistic ability, but the fans are not willing to believe that the artists are any more knowledgeable about world affairs than they are.

@@richardmayora1289 My mother loved Barbra and the Funny Girl vinyl OBC album was always on the "Hi Fi." Since I was about eight at the time, I absorbed it. "People" was the big hit recording and deservingly. Just a terrific song delivered perfectly. "Before the Parade Passes By" is an anthem of all those who see life passing quickly by and want to make their lasting mark.
In New York there has been an ongoing discussion of why the show had never been revived. Some thought it needed the star. But tentatively I happily report that a Broadway revival is planned with Beanie Feldstein as Fanny Brice.
