I'm sorry but there is nothing better at the moment than the valves EXPED uses on their mats. They dont protrude and make inflation way faster than this valve.
I thought it sucked in the air as a self-infllater. What am I missing here? My mondoking just arrive, valve arrived opened and pad is not visibly inflating.
Hello Melinda, We are sorry for the inconvenience! Did you order the MondoKing 3D Sleeping Pad - Classic Valve, or the MondoKing 3D Sleeping Pad - TwinLock Valve?
No backwards compatibility of your inflation bags with pads purchased just two years ago is a kick in the teeth. Time to move my family and friends to another brand.
Hi there! Unfortunately no. WingLock™ or TwinLock™ Valves cannot be installed on products that originally included a Classic Therm-a-Rest Valve. Best, Olivia
@@ThermaRest That's quite unfortunate. The pad and valve port don't look much different, so it definitively should have been compatible with older pads. I would have ordered 3 already for upgrades.
Hi Therm-a-Rest team, I read about the new 2020 lineup with winglock. You say it is 2 or 3 times faster to blow up. Can you tell me why? I mean air is air and lunges are lunges.
Hi Ari! Great question! The WingLock valve has a larger valve opening and one-way inflation which allows the pad to inflate three times faster than our classic valve. Best, Olivia
Hang on a minute guys...did you just say if you use your breath to blow it up it causes no harm to the inside of the mat I hope you are saying that because that would be amazing time and time again we're told not to do this but everything else instead off using your breath seems to be a bit of a ball ache...did your research definitely show this? @@ThermaRest On your website for "NeoAir® Mini Pump", it says "Fits any NeoAir mattress valve." So its rubber nozzle only fits classic valve, not the new ones such as winglock?
Hi Jeff. The Mini Pump was released before we updated our mattresses with the TwinLock and WingLock valves, so it is only compatible with the classic valve. For the WingLock and TwinLock valves, we have the NeoAir Micro Pump (www.thermarest.com/sleeping-pads/sleeping-pad-accessories/neoair-micro-pump/13227.html).

@@ThermaRest Is the increase in R-Value of 3.2 to 4.2 on the XLite and similar increases on other pads related to the new ASTM standard FF3340-18 or is the updated XLite actually more thermal resistant(warmer)?
Hi Michael, The new standard uses a different test protocol and device, which means all of our pads will be receiving new R-value ratings. Our gear’s R-value ratings won’t change significantly, but there will be certain trends. For example, many of our NeoAir mattresses will receive higher R-values under the new testing standards. Hope this clarifies things, Olivia
No it doesn't. The comment by thermarest is wrong. I bought the mattress and thought it was defective but after being in contact with the thermarest support they verified the deflation is twoway only inflation is one-way.

I have a neoair all season with a classic valve, another new xlite with a winglock valve, is there one electric pump that can fit both of them?

@@ThermaRest So If I understood it correctly, the classic and updated NeoAir pads are the same as far as R-Value.

The WingLock is 11 grams heavier than the Classic Valve.

does the winglock valve also prevents air from reentering the sleeping pad when using deflation mode? Like the Twinlock oneway valve?
