The issue of “touching” the ball on a field goal is not an issue at all, it’s called a charge down and is a permitted part of the rules.
The issue with the dolphin’s field goal that was penalised was the Dolphins player (Max Plath) blocked the Raiders player (Tom Starling) from charging down the goal.
The Raiders field goal was touched by the Dolphins player (Jeremy Marshall-King I think it was) but that wasn’t enough to prevent the ball from successfully passing over the goal posts.
The charge down is an attempt by a defending player to stop the ball reaching the goal posts in a field goal attempt.
As a raiders fans all the near misses in that golden point

Yeah I'm not sure why the commentator kept going on about those field goal attempts being touched or not. It doesn't make a difference - the only thing that matters is if it goes through the posts or not. Isaako's one didn't count because he missed, not because it was touched by a defender
