    Hey Everyone, we are back and sharing with you our Golf Car ride fail. As you can tell from the thumbnail we bought too much at Publix. We did get home safe but only after some ingenious packing. We also peruse some Cottage Villa homes in Well Point. These are very nice! Hope you Enjoy!

    Great video❤ HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY EVERETT🎉. LOL at stuffing the cart(good thing there wasn’t many BOGO deals or you may have been in a bigger pickle😂). Cute cottages homes. Loved seeing the Bexley bridge and can’t wait for the warm weather this week🎉🎉

    I love golf cart videos and touring the Villages. Those Cottage Villas look interesting with the vertical siding, front porches, and colorful doors. And I think they are the only type of houses that you can design yourself that have a fenced yard. I do hope you take us on a tour of one of them. Also, how do you attach your tablet to the roof of your golf cart? Being able to look at a decent sized map while driving would be a huge plus. Thanks. Cindy, Kaelee, and Misty 🐩🐩

      Thanks so much and I think you are correct about them being the only home with a fenced yard that you can custom build. I will try to get a tour of one of them soon. The screen is not my tablet. It is a dedicated device that serves as an Apple CarPlay monitor/interface as well as a screen for our backup camera. Didn't think I needed it but sure love it now. Hope this helps and see you soon.

      We looked at Courtyard Villas, Verandas, and Designer homes, but the Cottage Villa was perfect for us. In case you weren't aware, The Villages offers complimentary relocation services - choosing top realtors, as well as recommended moving companies in your area.

      Thanks so much and I think the Cottage Villas are really at a sweet spot and they are really enhancing the models. Great recommendation about the relocation services. TV really does have a complete package for someone to pick and choose as they need. I remember years ago when they had a fleet of limousines that made constant turns to the airport in Orlando bringing in prospective clients. Enjoy your Cottage Villa!

I don’t comment much on videos, but I have been a subscriber and follower since you guys started the channel and watch all your videos when you release them. My wife and I live in Colorado and visited The Villages last spring. We are planning another visit this coming fall, and hope to move, or get a second home there in the next couple of years. Loved the ride along. Looked like a beautiful afternoon. We seriously looked at those cottages. They are a great value for the size of yard you get there. The cottage you stopped at with the board and batten and pretty door is actually going on the market Monday morning. It’s so cute and we are tempted to try for it but we are trying to stick to our must haves and one of those is a concrete home. Thanks for the tour!

      LOL 😂 we did too!!! We tied them in really good AND thankfully there were no spills and everything made it home safe. To include eggs and bread. Yes, there is so much construction going on in that area. I’m not even sure how many houses will be coming to that area, but it always exciting seeing new areas come to life. I’m glad you loved the drive, we are planning on doing more. ~A

      Thanks so much and so glad that you liked it. The groceries didn’t actually spill, apologies if that was misleading. The epic fail was buying way too much without considering our limited space. I ordered the golf car grocery bag this morning, so we will be ready next time. Yes, there is a massive amount of construction. To overuse the term, an epic scale of construction is going on in the area of Eastport and Middleton.

    Great tour...I live in Spanish Springs and what a difference between north and south TV. Things are better thought out as far as traffic situations, TV learned as they built southward. The golf courses and rec center sport facilities up here of course have established trees and shade is so important. I'm sure you've heard it all before. The traffic up here is getting a little too heavy and getting a little scary to walk., bicycle and golf cart ride especially on Morse Blvd. You have to be very very alert and travel defensively. Every village here north and south has it's own charm, I really liked the columned porches on those houses.

    • @sonofmabarker

      @thevillagesnatives3491  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks so much and we really love the maturity of the Spanish Springs area. TV has definitely kept working hard to improve and I like how they continue to invest in the older areas. A lot of developers don't do that. Traffic is not so bad down here yet but I am sure it is going to change soon. We live in Lake Denham and we have to drive our golf car on Meggison as you saw in the video and we also have to remain very alert. We agree, the porches are very charming. You probably heard April lamenting not having one. Take care and be safe.

    How was the pizza? It smelled great as we passed by on our visit, but we never tried it. Mystic ice cream is such a great place, we stumbled upon music trivia the night we went. Foxtail Coffee-same strip mall as pizza-also has Kelly's ice cream which is awesome! Fun video, hope all of your groceries made it home!

We highly recommend them. So glad that you liked the video and yes all of the groceries made it home. I will be ordering the golf cart grocery bag tonight! Thanks again!

    Today we drove down from Spanish Springs to an open house in Well Point. We told the agent we wanted to see the new Cottage Villas. She basically told us that they weren't available yet and we couldn't see them. 😮 Then we went to Sawgrass Grove and ate at the Sawgrass Tavern. Yum! So good. Especially the giant pretzel with beer cheese. Do you know if the land that is going to be Edenfield, and Well Point, before they started grading the land, we're there big oak trees there that they took down? Or was it always flat and empty? Do you know what was there before?

    • @thevillagesnatives3491
      @thevillagesnatives3491  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for sharing but not sure why she would say that. When we were videoing there were two different agent cars showing people the homes. If you have a Villages Sales Agent give them a call and if you don't have one we recommend Daniel Collins, 352/615-2500. Just give him a call and he will give you the straight answer for sure. We haven't been to the revamped Sawgrass Tavern yet, but thanks so much for sharing your great experience. We will have to get back there soon. Much of the land that you mentioned was pastureland with stands of trees and areas of undergrowth. It seems to me that they tried to save as many of the oak trees as possible but they cleared all of the undergrowth out and really contoured the land to fit their plan. We drove past there late Summer '21 and they hadn't touched it as of then and there were many pockets of trees and dense vegetation. It has always been very flat. Hope this helps.

    What time was this on Saturday?
    You might have passed my wife & I. We took a long eBike ride, north off Meggison under the high power lines and around all those ponds … a beautiful ride … before coming back along Morse back to Meggison, past Sawgrass home. We live in Newell between Franklin & Homestead. Our lanai faces Meggison. I’d have waved as you went by 👋🏻
    We went through that new neighborhood last weekend. You’re right … a lot of new models there.
    I played Live Oak this morning ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

      Hey, we’d love to 👋 back!! We left our Verandas around 2:00ish and got back around 4:30ish. We go past your house in that area all the time. Do you find that the noise bothers you in that area? It is a very busy road for cars, golf carts and the multi model path. We ride our e-bikes down thru there a lot too. It’s a great ride. Thanks for you comments. ~A

      Sure and great question. That is a Capuride monitor W101 (I think). It links to our phone for Apple CarPlay and we have a rearview camera instead of a rearview mirror. Yes, we have seen the Garden Villas from McNeil Drive and they are distinctly different from any other design that TV is offering. I think that they are going to be very popular but I believe they are going to be on the higher end than the Cottage Villas. We will be there to check them out when they open; some TH-camrs have posted video of them. Great question and I imagine that they will be featured in an upcoming Villages video. Thanks,

    Always bothers me when I see neighborhoods without curbs on the streets. These cost cutting measures don’t help in the long run. Especially on the golf cart trails missing the concrete ribbon which will help keep the asphalt from spreading in the Florida heat.

    • @thevillagesnatives3491
      @thevillagesnatives3491  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for sharing your observations and we have seen some areas where TV has made changes obviously to cut costs. One example is in the Oriole model that use to have a very nice butler pantry in the laundry room with cabinets and a sink; in the current models it is completely empty with only washer/dryer hookups.

You can build a house anywhere if you are paying for it in the real world but apparently not in TV. I guess it’s the mentality one must have in order to live in The Villages.
