I used this a couple years ago and just adored it. I added things I found on Pinterest, TH-cam, extra library books, pulled some things off teacherspayteachers…but you wouldn’t have to do that, we just loved following the rabbit trails! It was so much fun and created so many wonderful memories. Even now my kids reach for the FIAR books for our evening picture book.
One thing I just have to add as I watch you show Lentil…for this one I picked up some harmonicas…amazon had them for not very much money at all, and also some charcoal to make some artwork inspired by the author/illustrator. Those little additions were so much fun for that one!!!
We are doing before five in a row with my two year old and we buy the books one at a time as we finish one I order another. However because he's little we do about one a month. We love it but unfortunately it's not enough for him anymore so I may be adding something more serious soon.
I've been hesitant to use this with my kids...im not sure id be able to put together any of their extensions. But I'm intrigued to see how you guys do it!
We used FIAR Vol. 1 a few years ago, but never finished a few of the books. Now I’m thinking maybe my daughter might enjoy finishing those books together this Summer. 😊❤
I started five in a row this year and loooove it so much . This is my oldest first year of homeschooling (he's 5) and I'm surprised how good he is doing and love this cirriculum.
We loved FIAR this year. It is so much fun & it opened up so many discussions with my little one! I got to see him light up when there was something new that piqued his interest. I was surprised by all the little things this curriculum brought to us. 😊
What curriculum did you use when you were homeschooled? What things have you continued to do with your children that your mom did with you and your siblings? It's nice to hear about second-generation homeschoolers and how things have changed since they were homeschooled, compared to how they homeschool their children. ☺
We LOVE Five in a Row and use it for our electives. It's great because we can deep dive or keep it light and easy by just doing the discussion.
Yes! I love the versatility of it! ❤️

Oh and the rag coat just always has me in tears by the end of the book!!!
That sounds beautiful and amazing! ❤️
Yes! Me too! ❤️
Yay, FIAR is wonderful!
I love this flip through! Thanks for sharing this mama!
Thank you for watching, Gina! ❤️

I have heard of this but I haven't really looked into it. This is definetly something I would be interested in! Thanks you!
You’re welcome! We can’t wait to use it! ❤️
Love all the FIAR books.
Wonderful to hear! ❤️
I've been interested in FIAR since I discovered it. I'm looking forward to seeing if y'all like it! Maybe we will use it in a couple of years.
I was too, and am looking forward to doing it! 😀
I think The Story of Ping was our absolute favorite! But we loved all of them that we did.
Yes! We have loved that book for years! ❤️

I will plan on making a video chatting about this soon! Such a fun discussion! ❤️
So are you using this as history ans science? Or is it just an additional thing?
Just an additional thing! ❤️
