Your Alaska series is what pushed me to start preparing for some overland travel. I have always been into off roading ( mainly rock crawling in the south ) .However, after watching what yall do and the adventures you have , I have started working on an overlanding build. (99 Grand Cherokee Laredo ) This is just big enough for me and my wife and our gear .. I have registered to get my Ham Radio licence , and take CPR and Emergency Trauma classes. I have also have a few friends who are interested in this .. Hopefully our first cross country wheeling trip (planned for the summer of 2017) will be a lot of fun .. Thanks for the inspiration , and showing others what is possible in a mildly built vehicle.. Good Luck on your trip , I look forward to seeing the upcoming videos ..

I'm so pumped for this. I was going to wait for all the episodes to be released and just binge watch... but I'm not that strong.
I remember backpackng through Central America in the Summer of '93. No cell phone, no high tech vehicle, not much money....no "safety net". we hitchiked, walked and took local buses and got to see and experience so much. I think the wonder of travelling on the rough is a thing of the past from what I see here.

By far the best production value I have seen from any expedition series. Love the work you guys do! Can't wait for more episodes! Also Really looking forward to seeing what the ladies get up to! I bought a tacoma after watching your videos, but now I'm drooling over those new 4runners!

What are you guys doing with the 4Runners after you complete the series? Does Toyota want them back? Also, when you installed the ICON suspension, did you have to remove the KDSS?
Feint The KDSS system stayed in tact and functional with the Icon system
What happened to the 100 series LC?
Love that you guys are rocking TAD Gear and 4Runners, couple of my favourite things in their respective categories of gear. Get Arc'teryx and Salomon involved next time and I'm going to have to try to beg and bribe my way into the next expedition haha!
It really doesn't get much better than the stuff you've chosen to bring with you, always nice when you can count on your gear and know it's going to do what you need it to in a crunch.
I know when I'm out in the bush up here in British Columbia there's enough to worry about and overcome without having to deal with subpar equipment failing when you need it most. I'm a firm believer in buy once, cry once so if I'm going to pick something up that I'm going to rely on it's going to be the best and most effective I can afford. It has served me well until now and as a result I have badass gear that is going to last me a long time. Love the videos!
Already better than I could have ever imagined guys. Wish your production equipment didn't want to remain anonymous or I'd ask what you guys used. Is there any reason you used that trim of 4Runner over the TRDPro?
Travis Hawkins TRD pro suspension is finely tuned to the weight of the TRD PRO in stock form. The weight we added on would have thrown off that tuning. This suspension is dialed in for our Expedition Weight.

Good overall series. Good to see you had all changed, at least a little bit at the end of the journey. It would have been epic to drive in the Darien but I think you guys made the right choice. The tourist goes to a destination and waits for adventure to come to them, the travelers goes out in the world and seeks adventure! ;)

Been following your expedition for a while now i'm an enthusiast fan from Mozambique Southern Africa do a bit of Off-roading myself but on a smaller vehicle Mitsubishi Pajero Jr.

Watching the beginning of the video, where the 4runners undergo customization, brings back a lot of memories!! Once worked in that building about 9-10 years ago. Idk, theres something about watching a show and recognizing features throughout the episode that aren't usually seen on T.V. / TH-cam.
I currently run a 2008 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Gotta say that I love your vids and it has inspired me to repurpose my rig into an Overland vehicle. Thank you and keep up the AMAZING work!!!

Finally! I've been waiting so long for this! Great work guys! You all at ExpeditionOverland should hold some fund raising events such as sell raffle tickets to raise money for different charities of your choice, and take a few special winners on a small weekend expedition! Or something of that sort! I feel like that would be an easy way to get some viewers involved, and give back to those in need! I'm excited for the rest of the season! Thanks for putting on such a great show!!

Otherwise I wouldn't be getting to live my life long dream vicariously...sigh.

Great first episode! I really enjoyed seeing what went into getting the expedition on the road. You have some fantastic sponsors and the quality of their gear stands out. That very last 2-3 seconds on the bridge...talk about a cliff hanger...I'm hooked. How soon until the second episode??

Al that prep and money,,I took my 90 suburban 4x4 on this same trip,it's all camoed up,no winch just me my wife and dog,you can do this trip on a $8000 vehicle ,my suburban has 260000 plus miles. We're still here 18 months later!,

Loved the Alaska series and this is an exceptional start to Season 2! You guys are inspirational to other wanderlusters. Myself and a few buddies that are planning our first expedition trip. Nothing to the scale ya'll are doing, but a short 3-weeker in the Colorado Rockies and Moab. Gotta wait until student loans are payed off first though before getting the rigs ready for the trip. 4 years and counting!

Great job as always, my girlfriend just watched it, she loves it, and is now watching the Alaska expedition. When is the next episode? I would love do a mini adventure like this maybe a week or so, but I live in New England not much Overland opportunities around here.

Man gotta love the 4runners. I drive a 2004 Limited 4wd runner with a 4.7 V8 and a... You ready.... A TRD supercharger. ;) 140,000 miles on it and she still runs like a dream.
Oh man I love trips like these and I can't wait to binge watch all your episodes. I recently finished an 8,000 mile roadtrip across the U.S and back on a 600cc super sport motorcycle and my next adventure will be like yours. A bit chealer of course and maybe not as epic but I will deff go from Boston to Argentina sometime in my lifetime. Keep up the awesome work guys and keep on keeping on! Inspiring young travelers world wide to be as adventurous as you.
