I use Epidemic Sound for my music
www.epidemicsound.com/referra...
About me: I initially had a clothing company that tanked. However, that experience taught how incredibly expensive it is to outsource your content creation. This prompted me to learn everything I could about photo and video. Shooting video and photo was the aspect of the business I enjoyed the most, so I made the tough decision to focus on those disciplines. Just like you, I’m still learning but I still want to share my experience with you because I love watching videos basically anything related to film photography and video. I hope you’ve taken something useful from watching my channel. It’s been proven that subscribers to my channel are 47% happier than non-subscribers. Food for thought.
Happy Shooting, Zain - บันเทิง
Sometimes I really hate my job just because of the opportunity to have missed you in berlin. 😖
The problem is not the people but the rules of publishing photos. There was once a public exhibition of street photography in Berlin and a woman sued the photographer because she was standing next to a trash can and therefore had a negative reference to her. lol She didn't win but the photographer still had to pay the court costs.
I've also done a lot of stills and no one has approached me yet. Berliners are very open. The further you go into the country, the more problems people have with street photography.
You can only wash money properly if you also take cash. :) lol Also, the stores pay a contribution per payment. you want to keep that. especially at baker stores. I don't understand this either. Card payment exists in dt. since 1990.
14:07 is a real banger!
Doing street photography in Germany for 10 years now. Never had a problem, not even in small towns. Just don’t do it Bruce Gilden style and you’ll be fine. :)
haha noted!
Whats the point then?
Fantastic work on this brother! My absolute favorite thing about your videos is that I always feel like I'm learning something from how informative your videos are!
Damn man. That means a lot! Appreciate it.
8:29 Interesting aspects about how the British or the Germans deal with their criminal history of their ancestors.
Almost always, when you talk to the British about the colonial past and its crimes, many reply that so many good things were brought to the colonies, such as infrastructure and modernity. As you said, for the benefit of the people in the colonies. Is that what the textbooks in the UK teach people?
I think the big difference is that the crimes of the Nazis have been documented on thousands of hours of film and millions of photographs, whereas there are almost none of these about colonial criminals.
We know that nothing tells as much about a process as a photograph.
Privacy concerns are definitely not the primary reason why restaurants here often don’t accept card payment. It’s due to the transaction fees that they’d need to pay if they offered card payment. It’s just too expensive for many restaurant owners.
Restaurants only work with undertable money. You can't survive without cash only....
ah that would make sense.
Awesome narrative Zain! really good insight into a country I hope one day to visit. The notion of carrying money around isn't too strange to me having visited japan and vietnam which kind of have the same cash mentality. Stunning images though! the light on the architecture is so dope. And props for visiting the Barn, great coffee there.
oh I didn't realise it's a global brand haha that's cool. Yeah man, Berlin is a really cool spot. Appreciate the support as always.
Lived in Berlin for years and took some of my favorites photos there
my thumbnail photo is one of my all-time faves so far!
great video, did you shoot digital here or only film ? i love the colors of these pictures. keep it up bro
I shot both. Most of them were shot with the XT3.
Great trip! Great video 🤙
FOSHO
I am a berlin street photographer.
I get yelled at a lot.
Fuck cards. Cash is kind of real at least
Me too HEHEhe
hahah I should've got you on camera to share you experiences with everyone.
@@ZainRiza next time ;)
Greetings from Berlin! I can tell you that a lot of the foodstores and spätis do prefer cash because its easier to do tax fraud ;). Great video, keep up the good work!
aaah makes a lot of sense
nice video, especially the take on german history through the lense of a foreigner
ah thank you... I thought using the history was an interesting way to frame this video
Loved your photos and knew Safelight! It's a really cool shop and they are very nice people!
Yes they are!
Looks like a lot of fun. I’ve got a buddy who’s living in Berlin rn and now I’m all inspired to go visit!
you'll have an incredible time!
Super interesting video. Thank you!
My pleasure!
Cooles Video, danke dir! Bin die Tage auch in Berlin mit meiner Fuji und freu mich jetzt noch mehr drauf!
Ich vermisse Berlin! Was echt eine coole Stadt. Hoffe, bald wieder da zu sein.
Nice trip with the boys 🌈 💅 😆 Thanks for the shout out and you will like my video coming up then 😅
Is that sooooo
Super awesome video !
THANK YOU 😝
Did you take your film with you? And did you develop there, or bring it home?
Yep brought it with me there and back so it was x-rayed twice. I developed it at home.
About the safety in safelight berlin... a while ago they did have a really nice Contax G2 stolen from the shop. They recovered it because the thief immediately put it on the popular second hand website.
hahaha that's amazing
Been to Berlin and Hamburg.Great for street photography.👍
Living in Berlin I use my 85mm on my APSC Fuji and it gives me enough distance between me and the subject. However when I pick up my 35mm I get nervous and usually just take pictures of stills. The shitties thing about Berlin is the weather. It doesnt rain enough to take advantage of it and it doesnt snow. So starting from October to sometimes late April you just have this boring grey sky and very shitty light conditions. Went on a photoshooting stroll with my girlfriends today and we both returned disgruntled after several hours.
Been to Berlin last weekend and I could pay with card basically everywhere. Not sure where you have been. ;) Great video though! 👌
Like I said, it wasn't everywhere but it was most places, and appreciate you watching it!
I have asked my childhood friend who now lives in Germany to watch your video. I will let you know his view of your observation. Interesting view
ah ok please do.
Good show Zain.
I wanna go Berlin…(with lots of cash)
Absolutely.
BAHAHAHA cash in Berlin. The same happened to me. I invited a couple of friends to a nice restaurant and when I ask the waiter for the check/bill I gave him my credit card. He looked at me and told me cash only! I do understand if I travel to a small town or Dorf that the use of CC might be limited but Berlin? In a nice and expensive Restaurant in the Downtown area? I was kind of shocked and embarrassed. Not only did my friends had to pay for their dinner but they had to pay for mine as well.
hahaha oh no! That happened to me as well. It was my turn to pay for the dinner and the restaurant wouldn't take my card so Ribs ended up paying for it all haha😂
Pretty much depends on where in Germany. The big cities, no problem. A small city like where I live, Trier, they look at you like a deer in headlights 😂 So I just go next door to Luxembourg and instantly a whole different scene;-)
Ach ein Trierer 👀 - ja da ist wirklich schlimm
@@mattschias1178 Nur zugezogen aus California ;-)
I've been to Trier! Long before I had an interest in photography though haha
@@ZainRiza 😂✌🏻👊🏻
You photographed in areas where people are cool and hip, you didn’t go to Neukölln, so that’s why it ok
haha ok. Berlin is somewhere I want to come back to so I will definitely check out those places when I do.
Nur Bares ist Wahres :)
haha
found your channel by accident, and i'm german and i am annoyed by that cash only bullshit, its finnally coming more and more that places accept Cards
Nice video but 2:35 is the worst nazi re-enactor I've seen in a long while 🙂
hahaha thank you storyblocks.
