Wow, Jason. Great guitar work. The whole band and you do GREAT on the blues version of this awesome song. I used to sing this with a country gospel band The Gospel Lights. Great job
So I guess the Lord can't use anything that has a red drape and some pro lighting and sound. Get the entire concert and take a look. This number is by far the most "hip" number and actually stands out in the rest of the straight southern gospel numbers. I happen to be a great big fan of Jason Crabb and his music, and there is no doubt that he loves the Lord. Big Ron
Jason!! Don't forget who you serve my friend!!! Proverbs 3:5&6!! In All thy ways!!!! Acknowledge Him!!!!! Put Him First my Bro!! Feel the annointing!!! Don't add to it!!
Jason hasn’t forgotten who he serves, it’s not our place to judge whether or not he has forgotten, that’s between him and God. I personally don’t think he has forgotten, he does serve the Lord with all his heart and mind and strength. Proverbs 3:5-6 says trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not into thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy paths.
First of all, I totally understand your argument. And the bible states that plain as day. I don't see the problem with a tasteful jazzy/bluesy rendition of Jesus On the Mainline with a little lighting to fit the feel of the song. Honestly, call me naive, but nothing about this place reminds me of a night club. It's a low budget simple stage with some accent lighting inside some small, probably rented out indoor pavilion. I GUARANTEE this place isn't affiliated with the sin culture in any way.
This man has...by way of his god given talent, and humblness...saved my life on more than one occasion.... When I have been in the depths of the darkest despair...and the loneliness has taken over....given me a reason to keep going...ANYTIME I need to feel close to Him....Jasons annointed voice has taken me to church.💜💜💜 If u ever read this Jason...one day I want to see you play and give u a big old hug....you make a difference in so many lives...and u do it fir tge glory of His name...
hahaha.. Martin Luther (Methodist Church) took songs from the brothel, changed the words, and made what we call Hymns today. He was cutting edge and now we call that old and traditional. It is about the message..not the method. MORE LOVE less hate
Ok, you win. I just think that it's the Christian music and Christian mindset that should determine whether it's right or wrong. There's no sin going on here. So it just happened to resemble a night club a little in this particular instance. I highly doubt that is what they were intentionally going for.
To David8024667: Why are so offended that this might look like a nightclub? Aren't the chairs all neatly in rows like pews? Don't churches have stages? The point is, Christians are against what goes on inside the clubs - not the clubs themselves. I've been to quite a few churches where there's alot of effort put into their music program and have elaborate music stages. If Jesus only came to save us from our "outsides" we'd all be screwed. I guess if ya turned the lights down low at the 'ole country church and popped on a few stage lights, that'd look like a club, huh?
Vlad Tepes Do you actually think that Jesus is the God who sent 2 she bears to maul 42 children to death? And isn't it possible that Jesus had a better moral record than YHWH, i.e., since YHWH was the One who came up with to notion of slaughtering all but 8, genocide, infanticide and various doctrines of slavery etc.
***** I got your point. I was just makin' a funny. That's why I said that Jesus IS god and then posted a verse where he implies that he isn't god. You know, because many Christians consider him to be god incarnate despite verses like that one. :)
It's NOT about "winning." And, I never said (not even once) that they were being "sinful" or anything like that. I just said that if I was to give a concert of some kind (and I wanted it to be a CHRISTIAN concert), I would NOT pick a night club type atmosphere to hold that concert in. That's all I was trying to say. And, maybe you're right. Maybe they didn't INTENTIONALLY set out to have this type of atmosphere. But, I just wonder how they could NOT have known what this place was like.
I don't care WHO'S in the front row. I could care less that the Gaithers are in the front row. If it sounds like a night club, looks like a night club, and has the feeling of a night club, then basically, it's the same as being at a NIGHTCLUB. Whether they have this nightclub illusion at a Church or whether it's at an actual nightclub, who cares?!!? The fact is the Church is supposed to be SEPARATE from all that worldly stuff. "Come OUT and be ye separate." Don't be like the world!!! Hello?!!?
Wow, was this at a NIGHTCLUB?!!? Or, was this a CHURCH concert?!!? Can't tell the difference!!! And, yet, they are SUPPOSEDLY against going to night clubs. But, then again, they're supposed to be against preachers and so-called Christian entertainers who are in it for the money, too. The Bible says, be not "greedy for filthy lucre." In other words, don't be in it for the money (which MOST preachers and Christian entertainers TOTALLY ignore these verses and ARE extremely greedy for money).
You SAY that you "totally understand MY argument." Yet, then you go on to say how "wrong" I am. So, no, I don't think you DO totally understand MY argument at all. You just THINK you do. Before I started attending Church on a regular basis, I used to go to night clubs (also on a regular basis). So, yes, I know a little about night clubs and the feel you get while being there. And, this looks and feels a LOT like a night club. You can say what you want. But, it does NOT change the facts.
Yes great singer
Jason could have went the way of the world with that amount of talent, I'm so thankful he chose Jesus and gospel music!
He could have made it big in the blues industry. Very talented man. I got a chance to meet him. Very kind humble man.

God can be used ANYWHERE. In a bar, a nightclub, or on the streets! As long as his word is getting out it shouldn't matter.
Amen!
I love me some Jason Crabb .😊😊😊

He’s gone the way of the world.
Not hardly. I've met him. He's a very humble kind man. He will pray over those listening to him.

Come on now...let's go to church!
This man has...by way of his god given talent, and humblness...saved my life on more than one occasion....

If only I had one tenth of his talent……..
Reggie Smith and 2 other ladies are singing along with Jason
Are you kidding me? This is one of those Gaither gatherings. You can clearly see the entire current line up of the GVB in the front row.
hahaha.. Martin Luther (Methodist Church) took songs from the brothel, changed the words, and made what we call Hymns today. He was cutting edge and now we call that old and traditional. It is about the message..not the method.

he's a great musician he could have been successful in the secular world as well but glad he didn't like some have gone astray
He plays this REAL GOOD for a white boy!
Love it! 😎
Racist Much? He’s got a name, would you refer to him as a black boy if he was black?
Does anyone know where this was filmed?

Get over it you can play Christian music jaxzzie
Jesus is so much better than God.
What do you mean? Jesus IS god! He proves it with this statement "Why do you call me good? There is none good but god." lol.
Vlad Tepes

My point is: human beings typically are better than God or rather the God notions.

My bad. Thanks for being so honest and good. :-)
The saxophonist is awesome. Yeah, besides the solos, that's pretty much all I like of this video. The song has a temp too slow.

Are they pushing alcohol and doing drugs back stage? You are trippin' ... you know them by their fruit not some feeling!
You loved it though
