To anyone who's never tried them, find a busy dimsum spot and order em up! Not every place does them justice but when they're good it's unforgettable.

This is one of my favourite dim sum, and the first time I ever had chicken feet was in this dish, it was love at first bite.
All the work it takes to make it is definitely worth it and I can't wait to try it out.

Thank you for sharing your dimsum recipes, l especially liked the siomai and the chicken feet, the others which require time, patience and a lot of work like hargow, I order.
I used the siomai recipe for the dimsum empress rolls filling, and they're super tasty! My family loves them! I truly appreciate and highly value your recipes, very authentic cantonese! You must all be very fortunate to enjoy these meals! Kudos to Daddy Lau and your family. May God bless you.

I always cook chicken feet bec it's rich in collagen. Delicious too. I braise mine adobo-style in very low heat for 2 hrs. Soft but still intact. Bec it takes so long to clean and cook, I make a big batch (3 kgs) then keep in zip locks in the freezer

I used to be repulsed by chicken feet until my aunt persuaded me her version of it the Filipino way. It was first cooked as adobo then by adding coconut cream and red chilli to make it more hot and spicy. It has a sticky, creamy, and nutty taste and the best is, it has plenty of collagen which has a lot of health benefits. And now for chicken feet variety, I am going to learn this Cantonese style recipe which has always been the favorite Chinese cuisine in the Philippines.

Alternatively and easier imo, you can airfry for like an 30 mins to an hour (pending how much you're using) at 400 degrees, then put it in cold water for an hour, then cut the nails off. It's a much beginner friendly experience, frying chicken feet in oil can be traumatising for new cooks, don't do it unless you're experienced and know how to deal with a potential grease fire.
Follow everything else in the video and you'll have dimsum tasting chicken feet.

When I was in college in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, I was obsessed with this bloody thing. Dim Sum in general is so good and I always buy at least 5 plates of it plus 2 portions of this chicken feet drenched in it's broth. I knew even then that this thing takes soooo much work to make because it's so tender and packed with strong herbal flavours. It has to be multi stage cooking dish and now i know it is.
My neighbour at the time was this pregnant lady who lived in the next room. The rooms were divided by a thin wall made of some sort of fake wall material and anything with a strong smell will escape the room and linger around the whole house. Few hours later she knocked on my door and asked me what in the hell was that. She's a Malay lady and never had proper chinese food because it's not halal but she was having those pregnancy cravings and my dumbass ate these thing almost every day next to her without knowing the torture I was doing.
So I told her what it is and she begged me to buy her some without telling her husband. Well, she was pregnant so I did the right thing. I buy it all the time for her and myself. It's dangerously addictive. Vacuum the flesh and chug the broth like a proper addict.
I haven't had these for years now. I'm gonna find them Dim Sum shops and get it. I miss it like a dear friend. I love cooking but this is way too much work for one dish. Maybe I'll try it one day, for now nah, Imma buy it.
