27k is a lot of miles for a 2 stroke 50cc, my first moped(a 1989 Tomos moped 50cc 2 stroke was on its 2nd top end rebuild at 10,000 miles. Wonder how many top end rebuilds that’s had. Sounded nice though, A 16yr olds wish list bike back in the day.
New sub, from a fellow Moto 'Tuber in Glasgow. Notice the Jim Allan number plate. Is this still up here? Dont recognise the industrial estate. Not many of these survived, a Honda H100 engine dropped straight in. A 16 year olds wet dream!
I had red one on 1987 E plate. Did no more then 30 mph wasn't dangerous at all I was 17 year old had it 18 months no one brake down on it. Cost me 729 bran new from c e Barnes in hull
A good honest test ride and very entertaining.
Thanks. It was entertaining for the Cameraman, too. It’s was a great little bike albeit a little slow.
