Try J&B on the rocks,J&B and Jameson are both 40% abv, they're full-bodied whiskeys with less alcohol punch,but creamy,adding water will dilute the taste&feel
Overall fantastic review,i might buy a Jameson&Red Label perhaps or even something like StarWalker for the price of Ballantines,the price is not normal for that type of whiskey
What You Did Wrong Is That U Added Ice & Water Together Which Killed Original Essence Of Both Scotch ....... Either Add Ice Or Water ........ Don't Add Too Much Water Or Ice ....... While Comparing , Use Coffee Beans To Smell So Ur Nosing Will Be Neutral & Also Drink Water & Gargle It While Drinking Other Scotch For Comparison ........ I Have Tried Both Scotch Few Times & For Me Ballentine Comes As Winner As It's Give You Smooth & Manly Taste ........ Of Course J & B Is Pretty Good Too But Ballentine Holds Advantage Over J & B ........ & Sir Try To Take Camera Little Away As Ur Half Of Glass Was Not Visible & Put Bottles Away After Giving It's Description ....... Easy. Their truest nature is quite different. One is trying to be a smoky sooty on pallet whiskey while other is a milder concoction with an easier approach. If they had been the same category whiskey I may have to use something to neutralise my pallet.

It takes time to get used to Ballentines I bought ballentines after some research this December. Day 1 - i didn't like it, too harsh for me couldn't drink more than 2. Day 2- tolerable, got used to the spirit smell and taste. Day 3- it was sweet, and much tolerable, after 3 peg i was like, this is good, Day 4 - empty bottle 😂😂.. Trick with ballentines which i found works for me was.... The least amount of water the better.... If i pour too much water.. .. The spirit is just too much overpowering for me( which is strange because dilution helps with most other drinks) , with less water it was much more tolerable and drinkable and i could feel different flavors in the drink. And i am just a beginner in whiskey.. So i liked the ballentines
