The Flathead in the Merc makes the car. I had a white ‘50 Ford Woody in high school, into which I put a full race Flat Head and a Hurst shifter replacing the 3-on-the-tree. I’d gladly trade my fully loaded 2013 Lincoln MKX for it, if I had any idea what became of it. I’d even throw in my ‘56 Ford 2-door project car. I bought that woody for $100 and sold it for $700. It seemed like a good deal at the time as that was all I had in it. That and my time. It allowed me to put a down payment on a new VW Bus, which was just what I needed to move away from home and drive to San Francisco in 1968. But do I ever miss that white woody now, and I never give a thought to the VW Bus. Such is life.
The Hamm's beer can on the back bumper of that car @ 1:04 is funny. My dad drank Hamm's in the 50's when I was a little kid up until he passed away in 2000. He even had a six pack of Hamm's placed in his coffin. "From the land of sky blue waters..." lol :-)

nice to see a older car with modern engine the 49 ford was great . and probably wont kill you with the exhaust smell.

It’s a bummer, but it’s the right call. If we do the right things now, the shows will all hopefully be back strong in 2021!
