    I love that you are so fearless! I have purchased all or these products and have watched this video 3 times. I think I'm almost ready to try it!

    I bought the wood grain tool a couple of months ago and I can’t wait to try it out. Thanks for the demonstration!

    I love your way of teaching and not being afraid to experiment with technique live! I have learned more than I though possible about Dixie Bell products.

    This is really cool, thanks! I'm going to be doing this on a dining table and wasn't quite sure how to make it work! I need a pottery barn look without the price. :)

    YAY! When I saw your post on IG with this look, I was really hoping you would come on and do a tutorial! I appreciate that you explained how you went through this process and how things aren't always perfect the first time around! I think people often forget that it can take a few "failures" (for lack of a better word) to get to an amazing final product! It's also nice to see you have your trial and error moments because, let me tell you girlfriend, you've got that blending technique down and make it look so darn easy! 😉

    As much as I love everything you do because you are so very talented I have to say I don't care for the graining tool. This in no reflection on you it's just that the graining tool looks so artificial and my comments are more for Dixie Bell than you. I always get so excited when you are on, so please know this comment is not a criticism of your personal talents.

    How long would you suggest letting it sit before wiping it off to keep wood grain pattern?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just a few mins, once it's sticky but not fully dry, just smearing it a bit

    LOVED This tutorial!!! Helped me so much! I have a question but not about the paint but I would like to know what kind of work table are you using. Thanks so much!

    Would you recommend the water based or oil based stain for going over smooth surfaces like veneer?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely oil based and be sure to scuff sand well

    Brandy, I was trying to some what duplicate this however my table top is for an L shaped desk. And when you “go with the grain” and the board runs into another board going the opposite direction you can see my brush strokes stop. It’s a mess. Any solutions on making it look right?

      Could you tape off, do one side, then tape off and do the other? A clean line in between

    • @tiffanydeporter1171
      @tiffanydeporter1171 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brushed by Brandy maybe that could work. It’s staggered, so it would have to do like a stair step but doable. But how do I clean up the mess I have now? Sand it back down?

      Brushed by Brandy I would show a pic if I knew how.

    Could you use this method on an exterior fibreglass door? If so, what kind of paint should be used?

    Can voodoo stains be mixed together to make other colors like the paints?

    Not so much...this graining tool looks pretty precarious.
