Same here. First time I booted up the game recently I just sat in awe at the beauty of the music and setting in the title screen. Reminded me of the MGS3 ending for obvious reasons.
It's so much more somber when your grandpa who's a real life Vietnam veteran looks like Old Snake in MGS4... And I'm not lying about that, he smokes the same way, has the pornstash, and would just need that bandana to be complete.
Always was a sucker for somber, if not melancholy, guitar themes that seemed simplistic but carried incredible weight... Whenever this theme played for Snake, I could almost FEEL how exhausted he'd become; and yet the man STILL carried on in the fight...

(and was then given facial reconstruction after sacrificing himself for Big Boss during Ground Zeroes) snake and venom are not the same person. even though they seem like it..big boss is the old guy snake meets at the end of MGS4. technically Big boss is Snake and Liquid's father since the DNA used to create them was stolen from Big Boss... this article should explain it all. since the MGS timeline is pretty convoluted lol www.metalgeartimeline.com/

I love this game, but the whole Meryl and Johnny thing is BS. Massive cheesefest. Without that, this game would've been near perfect.
