Very interesting but I think the FilmHub guy is a bit too dismissive about the need for a set release date. With many of our films, my company does partnerships with non-profit organizations and websites and they all insist on a release date especially if we want a review. This usually means using Vimeo on Demand
Vimeo is what I do when I need one… I agree that his tone was a bit flippant but what he’s saying is true. Things have changed. Streaming had totally upended distribution and PR firms and such are having to adjust.
@@JHorton True. My friend's documentary--which didnt get a theatrical release but did get a Hollywood Reporter review---described their VOD release this way: "Available on Angelika Film Center’s virtual cinema before seguing to streaming platforms later in October"
