Oh, this is making me realize that for me, a blank sketchbook can be a demand. Thus, I will often start (and make further entries) on the back page, or a random page-- somewhere where I'm not SUPPOSED to start/make entries. Wow!
Relating myself to others, then seeing the consequences others deal with made me use my anxiety to keep myself in check. That and if I did mess up.. I was usually comming down pretty hard on myself.
Our middle school called the Sheriff on my son because he refused to get into my car to go to school. Then did it again for refusal during school. Then , all in the same day, suspended him. His anxiety was so severe. He will never go back to school again.

What a truly interesting and helpful discussion. Thank you do much. This helps supoort me as a parent with a youngster who experienced such misunderstandings, lack of appropriate supports and lack of feeling liked by his tecahers last year at school.
