Rage Celest I think the closest to a Golden Sun anime is 'Avatar The Last Airbender' and 'The Legend of Korra'. Both feature people who have no powers and people who do have powers, based on the elements of earth, fire, air and water.

The music in these games adds SO much. It actually boosted the exploration for me, making me eager to discover each new place and hear the music that was going wih it. My favourite themes have to be Ruins of Lemuria and Forest's Requiem. The chills.
Golden Sun by far is one of my favorite RPG games. I remember when I used to be obsessed with the song from Imil. I love it so much, I'd sit there for so long just listening to it...
First game i got on my Game Boy SP i got as a surprise gift because i moved to another country. I played this game nonstop and never beat it until i recently rummaged into my stuff and gave it a whirl. It was a huge awesome adventure as a kid. It kicked Pokemon's ass!

It's not being a fanboy to hate on a series that doesn't so much as try to adapt and improve.

If i am not mistaken they did rush Dark Dawn. Thats why if im correct it came out in the age where the DS stoped being popular. If they would have had more time, Dark Dawn would've been A really,REALLY good game.
and i bet its gonna be for the 3ds, i've only beaten the first one, about a dozen times, and i am currently playing the third one, i know the whole story of the second game, i watched a walkthrough, and i really need some the lost age in my life right now so i can play it
The second Golden Sun is probably the biggest and with the first one a really epic and big adventure! The ending was nice too! This game cought me and never let me go since 2001
Some of my favorites has always been Garoh, Air's Rock and most of all - Lemuria theme. I used to go to these levels, and leave the Gameboy on when I was going to sleep.
Lemuria OMG... I would even say that lemuria as a whole is my favorite thing in gaming ever. Heavily teased in the first game, I always imagined how it would be like. But it was said that it's impossible to reach. Then in the second game you actually get there and it was SO much better and atmospheric than I imagined.

I actually found a way to beat Deadbeard within 2 turns, but it is near impossible as I was only able to do it once by pure luck and a blessing from the RNG

I just found these games, along with my ice-blue Advance SP a few weeks ago while cleaning my closet. Now I'm reliving my childhood, and rediscovering the awesome game again! That's happiness defined.
Golden Sun music is brilliant! I just bought myself Dark Dawn and I'm feeling all the nostalgia when hearing the music. In my opinion it has some of the best music I've heard in RPG games.

DigdugDak908 Why? Because you don't have a PS4 or because you like Isaac more than Felix? I personally find Isaac Hikari (last name invented by me) bland and generic and the only character I cared for in Golden Sun (I haven't beaten Lost Age) is Felix Yamikage (last name invented by me).
I would have also added to that list the Venus Lighthouse's theme, and the "The Golden Sun Rises" (ending of The Lost Age). This games have too many great songs to choose only 10.
Lost Age needs to be remade, and Felix needs to talk in that game because he desperatly needed character development but Nintendo refused to develop him because they wanted Felix to be like Isaac, however Felix and Isaac can't be the same because they're the exact opposite of each other!
I hope they make a Dark Dawn sequel on the 3DS or make a specie of bundle, with both GS 1 and GS 2 for the 3DS, but with the same soundtrack, no remixes. That would be awesome and would increase Golden Sun popularity.
Nice list but There are so many good soundtracks like Magma Rock, Arangoa Prelude, Aqua Rock, Tundaria Tower, The Golden Sun Rises, Non-Adept Battle, Fusion Dragon Theme, Venus Lighthouse, Mars Lighthouse, Air's Rock, The Elemental Stars, The Lost City (Lemuria Theme), Moapas' Challenge and more. Might have been interesting if you did a top 20 instead of top 10. Wow now I want to do my own list... lol
God, this game series is actually so over-looked, that it's depressing. No one that I know in real life has actually even heard of Golden Sun. Everything about this game defines what Role Playing Games are about. The characters are great, the music (Which plays a big role in this game) is delish, and the whole adventure is totally memorable. Jenna's theme, Venus Lighthouse's theme, Garoh's theme.... That is all ^^
I loved how The Lost Age enabled listening to soundtracks in the Coliseum from both games. I would sit there for hours and rock out to my favorites. Needless to say i needed to make sure i had extra batteries lying around >_>
2nd part is also on gba, i had the first 2 parts and the nostalgic and everything about this game is so fucking good. best game ive ever played 100% sure, the storyline, the amazing fight system which was sometimes difficult and so much fun. love it
Wintery Imil is like "oh let's play a funny game" but then you finish The Lost Age and it's like "omgomgomg so many fucking fellings i don't want it to end like this i want moar" and you are crying a lot.

exactly. considering the game of the lost age and dark dawn....the more i look at gaia falls, the more i see clouds hanging below, that would mean that at one point the world of weyard, was a series of continents that was part of the original world, till (this is a theory) at some point when both the elemental lighthouses and sol sanctum, lifted the continents of weyard in the sky, and activated the alchemy seal.....upon this the ancient city of Anemos realized this and began going up in outer space and merged with the moon

Golden Sun and The Lost Age were such powerful RPGs for GBA titles. The amount of effort and love put into those games still floors me to this day.

Because its the same composer: Motoi Sakuraba, the God. He also does most of Tri-ACE OSTs, and the Dark Souls franchise ones.
I hope that the next Golden Sun game would be more like the old ones. Hopefully there will be a next Game :)

The Isaac battle theme is probably my second favorite in-game soundtrack ever. It's only behind the Solar Eclipse theme from Terraria.
