And imma be honest, scanning plants and petting animals is fun for like the first couple planets or first couple hours. After that u start building and so on. After that u re practically done. I remember one of the reasons i stopped playing this game was the lack of activity. I already had spaceships, farmed resources, got money for said resources, and after a point its just staring at empty space and driving spaceships aimlessly. Cool with some music in the background and definitely relaxing. However I cannot recommend this game and its grind to everybody. For me personally (i know, sue me for having an opinion) this game was cool. It had exactly what I needed when I played it, it delivered, I sent screenshots to friends, i was happy. But seeing the same stuff after 4 years is a bit dissapointing. I expected to implement more game mechanics and gameplay maybe some action, more mining experience, more interaction with a faction or controlled area... anything. This game is the Space Sandbox that YOU MUST PLAY. True, it had a trashy launch that got reviewed bombed back in 2016, but with the frequent updates to the game in terms of content and quality additions, it REALLY is THE BEST Space game you'll need to play to appreciate it. And the cool thing is that there is NO Paid DLCs, all FREE Updates. That last bit became basically a meme at this point whenever Sean Murray releases an update. Everyone is now like "No Murray! We have money. Take it!", and he's like "Nope. It's FREE Update Day!" The community here is also solid too. Very chill and just having fun with the game. You can do basically anything. Explore Worlds, Complete Missions, Fight Monsters, Befriend new Companions, Make Cool Farms, and ESPECIALLY Fabricate Starships. You can even become a Haggler in the Anomaly with players around and just sit around. Sometimes you get gifted some stuff in your inventory. We as veteran players now that completed the Main Story Missions (which I HIGHLY Recommend doing if you haven't done it) have LOTS of stuff that we don't want and even maxed out inventory slots. Besides, feels good gifting to a player something that might help them out with whatever they're planning on doing. You can even do Missions with Players from The Nexus if you so wish. Note for those that are unsure. Units are Main Currency for Purchases from Shops. Nanites are for Technology Upgrades. Quicksilver is Nexus Exclusive stuff like cool capes, custom appearances, unique base parts, titles, and even little bobble heads. Man, I so want to get a little bobble head of Polo. I play pretty much as a Gek, they're adorable and I relate to them. Also, if you use Twitch often... keep an eye out for Twitch Drops and have it active. We have been getting these quite often lately and you can get some pretty good stuff. You pick them up from the Quicksilver robot guy near The Nexus right of the Expedition Terminal. That is also where you spend your Quicksilver at.
I watch so many videos on No Mans Sky but I just can't get into it... I just can't get past the tutorial, it's soooo booorrring but I really really want to like the game........ Probably makes no sense. I don't enjoy base building games but the space exploration and combat looks fun. The running around and scanning stuff seems boring though. One day, I will give it a real chance... One day when I have watched 500 videos about why I should play it, I will play it..
Unfortunately not, but at very least you can do in game missions to unlock the exclusive rewards from those expeditions. Since I started playing 6 months ago there’s been 3 new expeditions.
Stale, repetitive, and lifeless. In the first 5 minutes of playing after update, i saw a giant worm come out of the newly retextured water throwing up dust clouds.....in the middle of the ocean.....how, exactly is dust generated in an ocean???then a few other creatures kept clipping through the ground/scenery.....Giving this update the benefit of the doubt, I visited another solar system and found a huge planet with exactly ......5 types of lifeforms on it....5....on the entire planet....and three of them were similarly shaped "birds/bats", all of which looked pretty much like most other flying animals I've discovered playing this game for the last several years. How can this game be so amazing if I can travel to multiple worlds in different galaxies and see almost the same flora and fauna with exactly the same features and the same sfx? I do want to love this game, but it almost always feels like I'm wandering around the same stage but encountering slightly different cardboard props....
I don't see those as problems or things that detract from the life of the game. Obviously I would appreciate more fauna variety and I appreciate that they added some but it does - in no way at all - genuinely make the game less fun to play. I don't think it's repetitive I find many different things to do every time I play the game and the different ways that you can solve every problem makes it an interesting experience.
@princeywissy I get it and I am happy they keep refining this game, I just keep thinking they are missing just a few additional elements such as updated sound and a greater variety of forms and behaviors from their fauna.

23k views as well? Noice
One day when I have watched 500 videos about why I should play it, I will play it..
its actually free on game pass and ps+ I think
Are you looking forward to Light No Fire?
Big time! One of the few upcoming games I’m keeping tabs on at the moment to be honest 🐊
Amazing space exploration game but I can't afford the price xd
Damn. They are really dragging us along on the Xbox. No update yet.
can you do old expeditions?
Unfortunately not, but at very least you can do in game missions to unlock the exclusive rewards from those expeditions. Since I started playing 6 months ago there’s been 3 new expeditions.
Once in a rare while they do re-runs to let people get the old expedition rewards.
Dope
get a minotaur... ASAP !!!
fun fact: cheat engine works for quicksilver 😂
I found this game to be extremely boring
It's all about the bace building
Nms good
Mario cart music?

Games never use to have these shit micro currency so thankful NMS doesn't.
I'm confused are you mad or happy that you can't buy quicksilver? Lol getting mixed signals here 😂
Games okay.
It's like an 8/10 imo
no man sky
So it’s a boring decorator Sim. But only if you grind enough
Most boring game I’ve ever played.
I would BUT IM ON XBOX
I know the pain 😢
Game is bug out quest
