- I take you along with me as I participate in the Walt Disney World Marathon as part of the RunDisney Marathon Weekend 2024. I get to run through all four parks as part of the race course! The race begins at Epcot and I take you with me as I head to my starting coral. I get to run down Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom, through Animal Kingdom and past Everest, along Sunset Boulevard and through the World Showcase to the finish line.

I'm running the marathon again this year and watching videos to get myself psyched, and to my surprise - I finished just before you in this video! Even more emotional is you actually captured my husband cheering and holding up a sign a few times as we both walked the exit shoot at 23:58! I remember just being in tears at that point! Such an amazing experience, congratulations on the finish!

I've never done a marathon and don't think I'll ever attempt one, but you seem in much higher spirits and have way more energy than I would expect anyone to have at the end. Amazing!

Great that you can do that run/walk. I could only do the walk, 15 minutes a mile. I’m at home watching QVC’s ST. Patrick’s Day sale. Bought two longer sweaters in a raspberry color and a pinky mauve color. I bought my first one 3 years ago and couldn’t believe I don’t get hot in them at the mall. I always end up carrying my coat sweater in stores so I don’t wear them but these are magical, no sweating. Enjoying your vlog, pretty sure I’ll never get to do this.

karen i am so proud of you for doing it again this year. sad i missed you. but you are incredible and i am certain you can finish goody or dopey if you put the time in for the training. it is funny as dopey training is not a lot more miles than goofy. also it was fun to see some friends of mine cheer you on.

Did you change your socks after the rain? Wet socks can lead to blisters.
I didn't change socks during the run - I actually didn't get my trainers wet much, instead I slowed down to a walk and avoided splashing water into them. SO GLAD I did because I did not have space socks! Got lucky it didn't last too long!
How did you get to the start? Did you drive our catch an uber? Do you have suggestions on where to stay. I am concerned about after I finish the race. Will I be able to walk and how much
Hey! I drove and parked in the Epcot parking lot. If you stay onsite with Disney there is transportation available but I’ve stayed offsite the last couple of years. Unfortunately there is a decent walk just to get out of the race area so you’ll be walking anyway, I’ve managed the walk back to my car OK each year 😁
Good job. Such an accomplishment. You planning on doing the dopey challenge in 2025 with dad and Rachel? So inspiring, would love to work towards a run Disney event in 2026.
