Reilly plays a fantastic straight man for these videos. I like how she sort of plays along with Amir's ridiculousness and tries to find middle ground. That's pretty funny. Jake took a different angle where he just constantly got frustrated. Also funny.

People complain that Jake and Amir needs to just go back to doing their old Jake and Amir style videos, but I'm really enjoying this experimental stuff and new characters that play differently with each other (Reilly trying to find a middle ground, Man George and Geoff doing shit, etc.). In the older Jake and Amir videos, Jake played a role more similar to Reilly's here, which is why a lot of people think the older videos are better. I think HeadGum, modern J&A and classic J&A are all funny, but in their own different ways.
His story wasn't "short and good" or "weird and bad:" it was "long and fine."
Holy shit, if you don't release the next outtakes volume within seconds of my writing this, I will not be FINES.
They have months of outtakes to catch up on, and we do deserve it.

In another, Jake is the idiot, Amir and Geoff are normal. In yet another, Geoff is the idiot, Amir and Jake are normal. And then there are universes in which 2 of the 3 of them are idiots, etc. -- we just don't really see the ones where all or none of them are idiots

I know this comment will probably get lost, but the way Amir says the word ‘cool’ at 0:400 sounds EXACTLY like the ‘ohhh’ at the end of all the old college humour videos and it’s freaking me out.
These are getting better. I like the small breaks kinda like old snl vibes when characters break. I like the someone being on board with the crazy person of the day how Geoff backs up amir. And I love the fact that random black fucking magic randomly occurs sometimes like guac and the phone call. So nonchalant and funny.

You know what I get it, it's jake and Amir (toned down absurdism) with a bigger character cast that they can play off of, I think is a really good idea, I think it gives you a lot of options, I do think as the show goes on people will begin to feel out their specific roles which contrasts to J AND A in which every other character basically plays straight man to amirs goof ball (Murph excluded lol). I think this has potential but make sure that they start to feel out their individual personas so that this show isn't just a carbon copy of J and A. Not that I didn't love J and A I really did, but this could be new, this could be better.
