I was facing the same issue- I wasn't skunking every trip but I was tired of catching what seemed the same fish over and over again- you get so used to spots you can efficiently fish the whole area in like 45 min. because you know exactly where each spot is that holds fish. You even figure out what works best at each location so you know exactly what to throw, what color, and exactly where to throw your bait- it's no longer a challenge- there's nothing left to figure out. So i turned to the kaya thing- much cheaper than a bass boat. Well- that is if you're willing to do a little paddling and settle for maybe doing some mods yourself. If you go buy a higher end kayak you might as well buy a lower end bass boat- costs about the same amount. But you can get into the yak game for between 500-1000$ and you'll be able off the bank. If you make a mod and figure out how to add a trolling motor you can even have decent range.

This is exactly why I would love a boat. Shore fishing can be good, but nothing beats going out on a boat. I've been skunked all this last summer.
