Just can't seem to pick and sing. And the third part of the second phase is hard. You know how it goes from bending strings, to just picking the strings to sound like a lofi. That lofi but has to parts, mostly the same strings but once you place anything on the low E string. (D)ADG#E (D in terms of the song) Its so hard to pick. And i don't think i know exactly how to do it
ok so for the people that are having trouble at 2:31 because their fingers aren't long enough or it's a difficult stretch still hold the three strings (E, B, F#) down w/ your 1st finger but use your pinky/4th finger instead on the 4th fret of the D string, worked for me :))
The way I do it is before I tune the E string to D I press the second fret of the E (F#) and proceed to tune down the g till the g sounds similar to the second fret on the E (F#) this is a three year old comment but just in case lol I hope this helped.

Sorry to doubt you at all but after practicing and rewatching him play it seems like the thumb is strumming more, which would make it the blue rhythm right? I could be completely wrong though haha

I can crack it either, I learnt Naruto themed sexting and it uses a 2:3 polyrhythm and it has a similar sort of feeling to it with the thumb plucking a constant droning bass note on 3 and then the fingers playing the melody notes in 2 but this song is played faster so I’m unsure if it’s that same kinda thing but in like 3:4 polyrhythm or if it’s just a fast 3:2 polyrhythm. Idk I’m kinda new to all of this hahahaha
