This is such a beautifully simple and clean pattern with some sweet innovations to the tying process as presented by Hans. I do use dubbing with antron added for the thorax for a bit of sparkle.
I really enjoy your films and this one in particular. I am quite new to fishing and use Bob's book and your films as my guide to improving. It would be really helpful if you could maybe give an indication of how each fly is fished - in your experience. Thanks for all your help. Cj
Hey Hans, I am interested in trying these DHE flies on some picky rainbows in a small Wyoming tailwater that grow to very impressive sizes. In late June & early July the hatching sequence goes like this; Morning midges and BWO until, PMDs at 11-1. Then Yellow Sallies and a small brownish caddis all afternoon. What color combinations (abdomen/thorax) to you suggest for these various hatches. Appreciate your input!
Hi Hans, thanks for this revised 2.0 edition of one of my favourites. I am little curious, are you a non-varnishing guy, or don't you show it in your videos because it's natural? Cheers Jan
That is a great tie of the webby emerger, I am anxious to see more of your beautiful ties,

another excellent pattern. I assume one could use an olive dyed hares mask in place of the SWISScdc hare dubbing?
