    This is probably one of the best boxed sets I’ve ever purchased. Really well thought it. The sprues are quite nice and cover enough bases to get started in Napoleonics. The rulebook is great, the flags, and the building in each starter army are great touches. As daunting as the heaps of sprues are, I’m eager to get into this. I had zero qualms paying $130 or so for each army.

    I would be tempted to paint the shako plumes the wrong colour to outrage any grognards and give me a psychological advantage :) Painting for Advantage!

    Holy moley that's a lot of figures! Think I'd go mad trying to paint them up, let along making sure they had the right colour plumes and whatnot. Think I'll stick with skirmish games and keep myself relatively sane.
    Relatively.

    A nice look in the box guys. Didn't realise they had the skirmishers in there so a nice suprise. Wonder if Warlord will sell seperate sprues.
    You raise a point about the French army, but was same of the British. It was mainly not the army from the Peninsula (some British regt at Waterloo never went spain!)

      Yeah, good to see the process evolve as they get more experience.

    Uuurg, it's such a good deal. I'm so tempted to buy, I've always wanted to try Napoleonics but I'd never get a game in with the local Warhammer crowd.

      It is a great way to get into the period, in my opinion.

    Great vide-o. The unboxing has peaked my interest somewhat, but I'm more interested in the Peninsular, hopefully Warlord will turn to that next.

      There is a chance, I think the 95th rifle ranked up on the british sprue are in the right type of hat for the earlier period... by no means certain of that, of course.

    Maybe a compromise for those not wanting to paint these is to give then a coat of quickshade. Should bring out the detail nicely.

    I'd like to know if the French miniatures are the same as the British ones. I aks becuase as far I as know Warlord released both Confederate and Union with the same miniatures.

    How hard is it to find the appropriate regimental uniform colors? Thats what worries me most about Nappy games.

    • @ModellingforAdvantage
      @ModellingforAdvantage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends how deep you want to go. There is a guide included in the set for certain regiments that fought at Waterloo - so your pretty safe using those.
